Time went on as Zangeki headed in the direction of the Oni no Hana Clan's location.

He did not stop at all to take a break, as he ran there at incredible speeds, wanting nothing but vengeance.

Soon enough, the samurai eventually made it to the Oni no Hana's home, the area lit up by torches.

Many homes and buildings were there, as well as an entire castle, home of the Oni no Hana's leader, 73-year-old Masashi Takahashi, who was the descendant of the founder of the Oni no Hana Clan and the greatest samurai of the entire clan.

Some of the residents of the clan roamed around, others were in their homes sleeping, samurais training and honing their sword fighting skills, etc.

Zangeki saw all this and watched, planning on how he would attack all of them quietly at first and then catch them by surprise.

Suddenly, his planning was interrupted when saw several of the Oni no Hana Clan's warriors drag a woman into the castle, a woman that Zangeki knew, his lover, Iruka Hinode.

This further proved that the clan attacked and burned the Hikarimachi, kidnapping Hinode in the process.

Knowing about their ruthless nature, it was no doubt that the clan was going to torture and kill her.

This infuriated Zangeki as immense rage, fury, and hatred filled his heart.

He had a plan that would leave not any members of the Oni no Hana Clan alive.

Everyone in the clan was going about their business, especially one family that consisted of a mother, a father, and their two daughters eating dinner together.

One of the daughters finished her meal and said, "This meal was delicious, mom. Thanks."

The father spoked up, saying, "Now, now, it's 'thank you', okay? Always be polite when one does for you and respect them, not saying you're disrespecting your mother here."

"Oh, don't worry about the niceties, my love, I'm glad you all liked the dinner I made for you all."

They all continued eating until someone knocked on the frame of their entrance door.

The other daughter asked, "Mother, who's knocking at this time?"

"It may be one of the guards coming to check on us. I'll answer it." The father said.

And he did so, the father went to the door and opened it to not see a guard, but a samurai, a robed samurai, filled with anger and desire to kill: Zangeki.

Before he could say anything, Zangeki quickly sliced off the man's head, charging into the room and proceeding to slaughter the rest of the family.

None of them could make a sound before he killed them, as he was too fast for them.

Zangeki finished this, now covered in the blood of his enemies, ready to kill the rest of them.

And it was so, as he quietly went from home to home, killing families, men, women, mothers, fathers, children, and newborns.

At one point, however, his sneaking tactics failed when a woman managed to let out a blood curdling scream when she noticed Zangeki covered in blood after killing her husband.

This alarmed everyone in the area, sending some into panic and others prepared for battle.

Zangeki killed the woman, realizing his cover was blown, and was ready to take on the whole clan by himself.

But first he had to find a distraction, and he was lucky enough to find one as he spotted a jar full of gunpowder, which was saved for the samurai of the clan to make explosives for any upcoming war they had to face.
