A/N: Hi guys! It's been a while, I'm pretty busy, but I'm back!!! So after someone posted the chapters I had written in advance because I know I'm busy sometimes, I was like, "oh no." I've been pretty busy, but I managed to squeeze a chapter in!
Also, I don't have the time to get into a whole "thing" (canon? series?) right now. Now that I think about it, you guys are Wattpad readers. You're probably not gonna care.
How many of you actually read content on the wiki besides all the super-popular stuff? Like, read some new pages every now and then. There are still some shorter pieces, there's a Shortest Pages in the Last 30 Days section. Though some of them just link to longer pages. Either way, there are still some short reads! And if you're worried about the article content, there are 18+ warnings on more inappropriate articles. But I still suggest you should try to only look at pieces you think you can handle and your parents will be okay with. And if you're actually at an eligible age to get an account on the main wiki, good for you! I'm way too young to be reading most of this stuff but whatever. I'm still more mature than y'all.
Dang, this was long. The starting quote is by TwTIamtrash.
"Can people with lung disease walk to a nearby wall?"
Katie and Natalie stared at him, bewildered puzzled thinking he was insane confused. As [EXPLETIVE].
"What?" Natalie said.
"Nevermind."
Abner opened the curtains. The morning light was streaming through the windows, a beam of beautiful warm light. It illuminated the room in an instant, and there were little dust specks visible floating like tiny feathers in the air. Conveniently, he also opened the curtains into Natalie's face.
"What the hell? At least check to make sure you're not hitting anyone!" Natalie said, with a faceful of curtain. Her vision was smudged with gray, and also, this was a hotel curtain. When you have germaphobic Asian parents, you don't like hotels, unless it's a top quality hotel in Japan, and specifically Japan. Japanese hotels are nice and clean with heated toilet seats and soft bathrobes. Unfortunately, Japan is a 12 hour airplane flight away, and also not on the way to D.C.
"I'd say sorry, but it's hilarious to hear you yell at me while muffled by a curtain."
Realizing she could just step out of the curtain, Natalie stomped away while grumbling something about macaroni chicken feet and pizza crust.
She entered the bathroom. Then, she [REDACTED] and [DATA OMITTED FOR BREVITY]. "[EXPLETIVE]!" she said after stubbing her toe. "[OBSCENE METAPHOR]!" After that, she [DATA EXPUNGED] █ cups of [DATA LOST].
Natalie finally came out after who-knows-how-long, while Katie was reading an article on the SCP wiki.
"God, this person used too many [REDACTED]s, [DATA EXPUNGED]s, and blackboxes, and other things like that."
Abner was leaning over the phone, reading with her. "Wow, I don't know about this universe, but where I come from, people at 19 aren't that unprofessional. Then again, Ice and Mann almost killed each other over a game of Tetris, Rights bashes people in the head with lamps, Cimmerian once made the entirety of Epsilon-11 cry and question their life choices, and Clef is Clef."
Natalie had no idea what they were talking about, but she really hoped she didn't have to meet his coworkers one day.
Abner looked up at her. "Hey, you know you're still wearing your pajamas, right?"
Natalie glanced down at her clothes. She had been awake for hours, but she still had her PJs. It was a light blue nightgown made from thin, soft fabric with a few white designs here and there.
She gave him a look, but still got her clothes and headed back to the bathroom to change. Today, she was wearing a light pink t-shirt and black denim shorts. She absolutely refused to call them jorts.
She slid open the wooden door. "Alright," Katie said, "Now that you're dressed, we should...I mean we could leave now, or..."
"Yeah. Let's leave," Natalie said.
She took some time to pay attention to what her sister and Abner were wearing. Katie was wearing a purple tee with a random logo printed on it in white that she didn't recognize. It was circular, and parts of the print were falling off. For her pants, she was wearing shorts that looked similar to Natalie's. She wore a pair of black sneakers that were getting dirty.
Abner was wearing a dress that belonged to Natalie. Besides their late father's clothes, he also had to take some of their old clothes and their mom's old clothes. Since he was in a teen girl's body right now, he wore Natalie's size. The dress was black, and it was pretty plain.

They were now checked out of the hotel and ready to set out to Arizona. They hopped into their car, which was near the entrance, and Katie drove off.
After around 5 hours, they arrived in Arizona. They stayed at a little inn called the Rounderhouse. The wallpaper inside was a little dirty and old, but it was still pretty nice for a random roadside motel. Katie decided to settle down and write. Natalie, on the other hand, was screaming at a roach in the shower. Abner was reading an email out loud, presumably from his coworkers. After Natalie squished the cockroach, she stood beside his chair as he read.

Subject: Bad news...
Erik,
I have some bad news to break to you. I really don't know how to say this without you either panicking or doing something restless, but I have to make it quick. We just accidentally deleted Christianity from existence, and I have to go back in time to reestablish it. That's the third time this month! Also, House died, and went to hell, but then got brought back.
Where were we? Oh, yeah, bad news. You're heading to Arizona, right? Grand Canyon area? Well, I think we might have found an anomaly there, and we need you to investigate.
Based on the signatures we're seeing, you should be 99% sure what anomaly to expect. I hate to rain on your parade, but...
SCP-682 is there.
Keep safe, not that it really matters to you.
Secure. Contain. Protect.
Light out.
