Five years ago, the nephew of the former President Snow and the Capitol assassinated our elected president. Five years ago, Katniss and Peeta Mellark were assassinated in their home in District 12. Five years ago we lost our freedom to the Capitol, and the Hunger Games have returned.
We thought our freedom would last. I was born four years after we gained our freedom. I knew nothing other than this; so five years ago when Panem fell to the Capitol Powers, myself and others secretly joined forces to stop them once again. District 13 is alive. District 12 has joined forces with 13. The Rebellion is alive.
