Okay, I know that what just happened at school was weird. But that's not what I'm going to talk about. I do have a plan. After Snow and Leandro came to me after Cashmere showed herself and brought me back, the idea came into my head. I was originally going to go with Ben, but I'll just go with Cashmere. Plus she knows Snow better than Ben. He would just agree with whatever I picked out. Cashmere would know what really looked good on Snow. Okay, this sounds like it's going somewhere rather secretive, right? Well, Snow is going to have no idea what came after her. To be honest, I am still worried about her. Ever since she tried to take her own life, I couldn't bear myself. I thought she wasn't going to make it. Why would she jump in the river if she knew that there was a chance that she wouldn't make it out alive? Anyway, now that she's alive, I've told myself that I'm going to do whatever it takes to keep her alive, happy, and to be a shoulder for her.
Yes,
I'm going to propose.
"Cashmere, I need to know something," I had started telling her as we walked away. I still couldn't believe that I was talking with her. "What is it?" She had asked as we headed out of the school. "How come you're here?" I had asked her, trying to be so careful with what I was saying. I didn't want to offend her, but then again I wanted to know what was going on. "Because of Aaron," she had told me. But I don't understand. What does Aaron of all people have to do with this? "I don't understand," I had let out in confusion. "I can tell you're confused," she had told me. Okay, how the heck can she tell that I'm confused? Is there something going on with her where she has a sixth sense? "It won't make sense for a while, but it will at some point," she had told me as she had put her hood back up.
"How's Rose doing?" She had asked me as we left the school and started heading towards the next jewellery store. "How do you know about Rose?" I had asked her, not watching the volume of my voice. Not answering, she directed me towards a mall instead of a single store. Okay, there was a store that I had in mind of going to, but if Cashmere has something she needs to do, then I should let her take care of something. Reaching into a pocket, she grabbed a picture of a ring. "That is a 1.15ct Emerald and Princess cut Diamond engagement ring," Cashmere had told me as she passed it to me. Damn, that's a pretty ring. "You'll find it in the Diamond store. I'll meet you at your place." Cashmere had told me before passing me a big wad of money from inside her cape and left me in the hall beside the store before heading off. Okay, thanks. Heading in, I tried finding the ring. But it took me literally about an hour to find it. I was doing a comparison to find it, but I wasn't having any luck. I had found it beside a pair of gold hoop earrings with small diamonds on it. Now the earrings Snow would definitely like. I hope I have enough money. Cashmere gave me a lot of money. Grabbing the money that was in the other hand, I checked to see how much money she had given me. Okay, 1, 2, 3, 4...
$5,000?
Cashmere, where did you get this money? Never mind, she's not here. But I will have words with her later. Checking the price tag on the ring, I found the number. Wow, I wasn't expecting it to be $1,250. Checking the number on the earrings, I notice that they work out to be an even number of 5,000. Cashmere must've done the math, and known that I was going to get the earrings. They do come in a set, so it makes sense to get both. Calling a store clerk, I bought the set with the cash in hand. Apparently Cashmere wants to see me at my place. I wonder how she knows where I live. Maybe Snow has told her. Anyway, I head home. Once I had got home, I found Snow putting Leandro in bed for his nap. Hector, Ellie, and Alex were over with Rose. Ellie and Erin were in the kitchen, probably making dinner, as I headed down to the basement to see Hector and Luke hanging out at the bar. Alex was sitting on the sofa watching something kid-friendly. Rose must be with him. I needed to talk to Alex. I wanted to tell him what happened today at school. "Hey Alex, hey Rose," I had told them, heading up to them. "Hey Jason," Rose had let out, before Alex turned around to notice me behind him. "Jason, how are you doing?" Alex had asked before I came and sat beside him. "I need to talk to you. You can't tell anyone," I had told him as I looked back at Hector and Luke, who were still at the bar. "Do you do something bad?" Alex had asked, lowering his voice. "I didn't. It's a surprise," I had told him as I reached inside my pocket, grabbing the box that had the ring inside it. Without saying a word, I opened the box and showed the ring to Alex. He looked over to notice that Hector and Luke headed up. "You're going to propose to Snow?" He had asked, his jaw dropped. "Don't tell anyone. I still have to get permission from her parents. Plus we wouldn't get married for a while anyway," I had told him. That was my original idea. I love Snow; I'd do anything to be with her.
"The two of you deserve each other," Alex had told me. "Thanks," I let out before I grabbed the earrings that were in a small bag in my jean pocket. "But I will give her these," I had told him, showing the earrings. "Wow, those are gorgeous. Don't show those to Lily, she'll take them," Alex had told me before I had put them back. "Speaking of which, where is she?" I had asked. Lily wasn't here, and it's been awhile since I've seen her. The last I heard, she went off with a couple of strangers, where one of them looked exactly like Cashmere. I think she's gone crazy and she's actually in some sort of mental institution. Putting the earrings back in my pocket, the three of us head up for dinner, sitting at the table in the dining room. Somehow we were able to make room for all nine of us. "You know, I think the last time we all sat here was before Leandro and Rose were born," Luke had commented. Snow was sitting beside me, and wasn't eating much. "You okay?" I had asked her silently as Alex and Hector were laughing away at a joke that Ellie had made. "No," Snow had let out quietly. Ever since she came back from the hospital, she's become depressed. I wish there was something I could do to help her. Well, there is one thing that I think might be best. She hasn't told her parents about what really happened to Tiffany and the fact that she tried to take her own life. Maybe if I take her to them, that'll help her. David and Lucy are her parents, and that kind of love you can't find anywhere else. Yeah, I think I'll do that. "I think I want to make a toast," Hector had let out, raising his glass of wine. Snow had left the room, silently crying.
"Is everything okay with Snow?" Ellie had asked, after lowering Hector's arm. "She hasn't been doing great. I think I better go check on her," I had told them before leaving the room. "Okay," Ellie had let out before I left. I walk towards Snow, who is crying in the kitchen. "Snow, you okay?" I had asked her gently as she went towards the counter. "I wish I didn't have this guilt inside of me. I can't seem to get rid of it," she had told me as she started walking towards the island. "Do you want to talk to someone?" I had asked her, thinking about her parents. "I can't talk to anyone without being judged," she had told me, with tears falling down her face. Ellie and Erin came walking into the scene. "Just leave her alone," I had told the two of them. "Snow," Erin had let out. "Seriously, if you need to talk to someone, I can take you," Erin had told her as she walked towards the counter opposite of the island. Hector, Luke, Alex, Leandro and Rose were now out of the room and focusing on Snow. Next thing you know, Snow grabbed a knife out of the knife block. "Alex, take Leandro and Rose upstairs, now," I had told him right away, and he took them. Rose will probably be staying here for a while if Cashmere's back. She's going to want to see her, and we can't have her seeing Rose. Focusing on Snow, I grab onto her as Hector pushes the knife out of hand. The knife went flying, and it landed on the floor, piercing it into the floorboards near the table. Ellie walked up to the knife, and grabbed it from the floor. "I think Snow needs to stay with her parents tonight," Luke had let out. "Snow, is there something going on that we should know about?" Hector had asked her. I couldn't have her telling him the truth. He would judge her. No, he would take her away from me and put her in jail, and that's even worse than seeing her dead.
Looking at Snow, I held her in a hug and let her cry against my shirt. "I'll be the one to tell you what happened," I had told Hector as I held her in. "Will you at least take her to Lucy and David? They should know the truth," Ellie had asked me. "I will," I had told them before Alex came back down, reminding me about Rose. "By the way, I was wondering, would it be okay if Rose stays here? Cashmere's back, and she's going to want to see her," Alex had asked Hector and Ellie. "Of course," they had told him. I took Snow out to my car, and I drove her to her place. Walking her up to the door, I rang on the doorbell, and David answered. "Jason, Snow, I'm surprised. What are you doing?" He had asked. "There's something you need to know. Something happened. Snow should stay here for the night," I had told him. "What happened?" Lucy had asked, finally at the door. Looking over at Snow, I finally told them,
"She tried to take her own life."
