OMG have y'all watched Swordsmith Village yet? IT'S SO GOOD!
I sat in an empty field at the brink of sunset, I just completed a mission yesterday and was recovering. The demon had harassed younger women, making them demons instead of killing them. For the village's sake and my own, those girls were weak and didn't own much power. They all were the same, it reminded me of those girls from my past. They were all the same. They all cared about their looks, they were all arranged in marriage. I was different. I ran away, I didn't want to be arranged in marriage, I wanted to find someone on my own. I watched the sun set for the day, along with a white butterfly fluttering in the darkness as I turned around. I stood up carefully and stepped forward to the butterfly, lifting my finger. It landed on my finger, then flying away again. I turned back around and sat down, hugging my knees to my chest whilst I rested my head on my knees.
"Did you get the demon?" A monotoned voice asked from behind me. I turned my head around, seeing a boy with dark hair, which faded into a teal blue. He was older than me by a few days actually, fun fact. I nodded my head before turning around again, closing my eyes. "You should get to the butterfly mansion (Y/N), it'd be better for you to rest there instead of here." His tone had softened with his words, as he stood behind you. I had a faint smile on my face as I spoke. "I'll be fine. Don't worry about me." I said, watching the Cherry blossom petals drift with the wind. "What brings you here anyway?" I asked him. "I don't know, I was told to annihilate a demon here. My crow said she's a butterfly demon. She takes form as a butterfly sometimes, she doesn't hurt those who are gentle though. As locals said-"
"Those with gentle souls cannot be hurt." I finished his sentence. I heard the story. From unintentional eavesdropping, I heard locals in the village speak of a demon who didn't hurt those with gentle souls. "I heard it in a village earlier. Does that mean...I saw a white butterfly a few minutes ago." I asked, fixing my gaze on the forest behind us. "She's probably out here right now. Keep guard." He said sternly, his gaze couldn't fix in anything. He had his hands on his sword, like he wasn't sure to pull it out or not Suddenly, a white glow came from the forest, there was a female demon who had pale white skin and flowing white hair, as if she was a goddess. "Ah, who do we have here?" She asked, examining the two of us. "You're the girl from a bit ago yeah? You're not the person to hurt a butterfly, that's good." She spoke. Her way of speaking was soft but dreamy in some way. "I don't care to hurt you, you're soul is pure." She said before disappearing.
"Y/N, what the hell." He spoke up suddenly, standing up straight. I just shrugged, before going down the path. "There's an inn for Demon Slayers, let's go for the night." I said, meanwhile Muichiro passed me. How dare he- I sped up to the point I was beside him. I then had an idea. "Muichiro, can you tell me a little bit about yourself?" I asked him, only receiving a flat answer from him. "My name is Muichiro." Bruh- "Well. You already know me as Y/N...How do you know that?" I asked. "Training, like a year ago?" Ah yes, how could I forget?
"Hi, I'm L/N Y/N, are you Tokito Muichiro?" I asked a dark haired boy whose hair faded into a teal color. He looked at me up and down before speaking. "You're L/N Y/N???" He seemed skeptical about your claim. "Yes. That's my name all right." I nodded, raising an eyebrow. "You seem weak." Was all he said before turning around. "Hey! That isn't really nice of you!!" I shouted at him. "Determined. You're not bad." He nodded as he stared at my actions. "Change of heart much???" I placed my hands on my hips as I spoke. "I guess. Determination is important, unlike another Demon Slayer Corps member whose scared of anything and everything." Muichiro scoffed.
"Damn. Well, what can you teach me? I'd be most grateful if we can start." I asked politely. "Okay. What's your breathing type?" He stopped walking and asked me. "Butterfly breathing. Requires agility and graceful movements." I said. He nodded to my words. "Okay.. Let's start on agility. You see those pillars." He pointed to the wooden pillars in front of us. "Try jumping on them, each one, quickly." He said, watching me. I started on the lowest one of them all. I noticed how they go higher each pillar. "Well shit." I said, climbing on each as quick as possible. About a trillion times, I slipped on one, falling down a long way. "It's not bad, you do need improvement though...what's your name?" He said, adding on the question. "Y/N." I said flatly. "Ah yes, Y/N." He held a notebook whilst we talked and scribbled some notes in.
"This is it. It's prettier than most." I said, completely awed by it. It had a lot of wisteria patterns or symbols around. We were greeted by an elderly lady. "Good day to you. How may I assist you this lovely afternoon?" She asked. "We would like two rooms please." I asked. "Ah, we aren't allowed to give individual rooms. I apologize for the inconvenience." She bowed politely. "Ah, it'll be okay, thank you very much." I bowed back to hers she left to prepare a room for us. It was already evening, damn. When she returned, she asked us to follow her to our room. We followed her into a comfortable looking room with two futons on the floor. "There are warm baths ready to be used if you would like. Enjoy your stay." She said before leaving.
I nodded to her, before turning to Muichiro. "Sooo, what would you like to do now?" I asked him. He shrugged, not really knowing either. I laid on my futon, looking up at the roof. "What's your favorite food? Mine's rice balls, those are good." I asked out of the blue. I heard the sound of a pen scribbling on a notebook before hearing Muichiro's voice. "Simmered radish with sweet miso." He said after the scribbling noises had stopped. I looked behind myself where Muichiro sat, seeing him holding a small, black notebook. "What's that?" I asked, pointing my finger at the notebook that laid in his hands. "Nothing."
"Obviously it's something." I said, squinting my eyes at him. "It's a notebook, isn't it?" Muichiro's voice began to stammer a bit, along with his face gaining a pink-isk tone on it. "For?" I asked again. Muichiro placed the notebook on the ground. "Writing in." Again, I asked, "Writing what?" Muichiro sighed at my continuous questions but continued to answer them. "Stuff so I can remember." I nodded, that making complete sense. "Ahh, okay." I said, nodding. "I'm going to the onsen for now." I said, pointing my thumb to the door so Muichiro knows where I'm at. He nodded before I left.

Muichiro sighed, laying on his futon. He's had eyes for Y/N for awhile now. He doesn't understand why, she's just a girl. Another girl who's levels below him. In that notebook, he wrote everything about Y/N, wanting to learn more about her. What she likes, what she hates, you get the gist of it. But Muichiro didn't wanna say that he.... That he likes her. He's afraid of rejection, knowing of his past and how cold people can be. He scribbled more stuff into his notebook whilst she was gone. "She uses Butterfly Breathing." He mumbled while writing. He tapped his pen on his chin before writing again. "She reminds me...of a butterfly." He mumbled again before placing his pen and notebook down again.
"Who are ya writing about?" Y/N asked, back from the onsen. She was in a butterfly printed design kimono, it resembled Shinobou's haori.
"Someone."
"Who?"
"You." Muichiro blurted out suddenly. "You're writing about- Hold up what?" Y/N began to stammer as heat rose to her face. "You're writing about...Me?" She asked again, pointing to herself. Muichiro nodded, covering his face with the back of his hand inIn embarrassment . 'Why did I say that...' Muichiro had thoughts running through his head like 'Does she hate me now?', 'What'll she say???', and 'Does she like me back???' Y/N walked towards Muichiro and sat in front of him. "Can you stand up with me real quick?" She asked him, making Muichiro stand up but look down at the floor. "I like you too." Was all Y/N said, causing Muichiro to look up. "Y-you do?" He asked, eyes glistening with hope. "Yes, I do. I love you."
Before Y/N could even react, Muichiro had closed the space between them, pushing his soft lips against Y/N's. He snaked his arm around Y/N's waist, pulling her closer to him. Y/N's hands moved up to Muichiro's long hair and carded his soft hair. As that ran out of oxygen, Muichiro pulled away from the kiss, leaving Y/N's soft lips. He tilted Y/N's face up with his finger, looking into her E/C eyes with pure love. "I love you." He blurted out. "I love you too."
