You watched the Hashira meeting from inside, your eyes moving between each of the Hashira. You sat under the shade, your younger sisters, Hinaki and Nichika, on both sides of you. You watched as your father talked with the Hashira. There was one thing that bothered you. You had a feeling someone was watching you. Your eyes glanced at Tokito-san, finding it was him staring at you. A small gasp left your mouth, you didn't expect the Hashira to stare at you, especially Tokito. He has a quiet nature, so you barely heard him speak, only when he was asked a question or chooses to. You quickly looked away, not wanting to spark any romantic feelings. You continued to watch the Hashira meeting, listening to every word your father said. You really don't understand why you listened, your younger sisters probably didn't even care to listen. I stood up, walking towards the room your mother sat in, she was quietly reading a book. As she heard your footsteps, she looked up from the book, a soft smile playing on her face.

"Hello Y/N, is the meeting still going on?" She asked. You nodded, taking a rice cracker that once sat in a bowl placed perfectly on the table before biting into it, a small crunch noise being heard. "How do you like your new job Kagaya-sama had given you?" Ah yes, your father has given you a new job, with the fact you were the eldest of the siblings. Your new job was assisting the Hashira when they needed. No, you weren't like their trusty servant, more of an assistant. You helped with bringing stuff to them whilst training, like water or you could be there just to talk to them. This would also mean you'd be interacting with them more than usual, for the past year you've only exchanged some hellos, "how are you", etc. "It's been well, Rengoku-san is interesting to interact with, Kochō-san has been telling me about different flowers, poisons, and how she makes medicines, and Mitsuri-san is always telling me about her favorite foods and how much I remind her of her younger sister." I rambled, a smile gleaming across my face. Mother let out a small huff of air, smiling in the process. "The Hashira are great people, they had to prove to become who they are now." Your mother pointed out.

"Y/N?" Your father's voice could be heard, meaning one of numerous possibilities. "Yes father?" I responded. "Tokito-san has asked if you would mind helping him train. I know how well you can examine movements in combat." You quickly nodded, you haven't spoken to Tokito-san much. "Wonderful. You can go when you're ready, he's waiting outside. Ah yes, Imif you would like, you may wear something more comfortable, I don't want you feeling discomfort while you're away." Father informed, leaving to my younger siblings. Tokito-san.. He was the one staring at you earlier. "Thank you father." You thanked him before leaving to your room. You could feel little sparks of excitement in your stomach, like butterflies exploding. A smile played at your lips, you had no idea why, it just happened.

You stepped out of the mansion, eyeing Tokito-san, who had sat himself under a tree. You looked up at you, noticing your presence. She's pretty, as always. He had always felt this feeling, pulling him to you. It's just the fact that you were the master's daughter, that was a bit of a problem. He didn't want his relationship with the master to be ruined by a simple crush, so he had been pushing the thoughts and feelings away. That was until earlier...

"Oyakata-sama, May I speak with you?" He asked as the rest of the hashira left. "Yes, of course Muichiro. What would you like to speak with me about?" Your father accepted his request to speak. "I..I may have developed some sort of feelings for your daughter, Y/N.." Kagaya's eyes widened before he visibly relaxed. "I'm glad it's you Tokito-san." Muichiro's eyes widened. "Excuse me?" "Yes, I'm glad it's you that ended up falling for her. Out of anyone, I would've chosen it to be you, I know you would treat my daughter right if you fell  for her. Plus, you two are merely a year apart." A smile tugged at Muichiro's lips.

"I wanted to tell her, the thought had been in my mind for months now." Muichiro added. "Ah, you may take her out for "training", she'd be glad to join and communicate with you." Kagaya said. "Well.. Do I have permission to confess to your daughter?" Muichiro inquired. "I give you my permission, I intrust you with the right to love her as much as you want." Kagaya reassured, nodding his head gently. "Thank you Oyakata-sama."

He led you to his training grounds, it had numerous pillars, most likely for stamina and endurance training. "Y/N-san." Muichiro cleared his throat. "Yes Tokito-san?" "There's no need for formality, Y/N-san. You can just call me Muichiro." He reassured you. Quickly, you corrected yourself. "Yes Muichiro-san?" Muichiro's heart was fluttering, as it was the first time he'd heard you say his name, not using formality. "What do you think of going out to town today?" He asked, feeling himself become shy. "B-but-" "It's fine, your father said it was perfectly fine" He didn't tell a complete lie, but this was the way he would confess. "Oh, if he says it's okay then yes, I would love to go." You smiled. You could feel something in yourself tugging you to him, like a feeling.

The town he planned to take you to was only about a 20 minute walk, it wasn't too far from where you stood. The walk was silent, a bit of conversation here and there, but it was down right awkward, for both of you. This brings us to where we are now. You could hear the loud noise from the town, it was late afternoon, you could see the liveliness of the town. "Wow. It's so lively here." You gasped. "Touché, it is." He nodded. He had to stop himself from gushing over how cute you were now, the sparkles in your eyes were adorable to him. Meanwhile for you, your eyes were all over the place, there were so many things around. Woah, you thought, amazed by the atmosphere. "So...Do you want to..uh...get anything?" Muichiro spoke up. On the outside, he looked perfectly fine, but his mental state was of the charts. "Sure, I saw some rice balls at a stand not far from here!" You grabbed his hand, taking him to the stand.

The both of you sat at one of the many benches at the Butterfly Mansion, eating the remaining rice balls you had. "The sky is really pretty at night." You pointed out, referring to the endless amounts of stars in the sky. "The amount of stars are endless." Muichiro added, in a daze. He glanced at the bench, where your hand rested. His moved closer to yours, eventually over your hand. "Y/N. How would you feel if someone told you they liked you?" He asked. "I'd say yes, but it depends on the person." You responded. "How would you feel if I said I liked you.?" Your eyes widened at his question. "Are you trying to say you like me?" You asked, putting the pieces together. "Yes, but I'm failing miserably."

"You aren't. But to answer your question, I'd say yes." Muichiro smiled gently at your words, as you rested your head on his shoulder. He kissed the top of your head gently, enjoying the moment as it lasted.
