Giyuu~Moonlight

Demon Y/N!!!! 

"Giyuu-Kun, Giyyu-Kun!" A little girl exclaimed as she hugged another boy from behind. "Yeah Y/N?" He asked. "I wanna go see the stars, do you wanna come?" Y/N inquired young Giyuu, who contemplated the decision a bit. "Sure, why not?" He shrugged. Both were only 10 at the time, Giyuu being older than Y/N by a bit. "C'mon I know a cliff top that has the best view!" Y/N pointed in front of her as she spoke, currently guiding her way through bushes and bramble. "There?" The boy asked, pointing to the cliff in uncertainty. Y/N nodded, grinning happily. "Yeah, May not look like a lot now but it's actually really pretty." Y/N explained sitting down, with Giyuu soon following behind. As the sun set, the sky revealed itself to be a clear night, showing the bright stars and cosmos. "Wooooooww." Giyuu gasped, holding that "wow" for at least 10 seconds. Y/N grinned with her iconic boxy grin. "I know, it's beautiful." She murmured, watching the sky. "Look!" Giyuu pointed, pointing to a shooting star. Giyuu watched as Y/N made a wish, closing her eyes tightly. "What'd you wish for?" He asked her. "Can't tell, it's a secret!" She teased, grinning happily.

Giyuu walked around a forest he haven't been in for about 11 years. It's changed, seeing that no one lived in that home that was once owned to that girl and was being overgrown with nature. 'What's her name...' Giyuu constantly thought, that boxy smile running through his mind over and over again. He wished to see her again, but he couldn't remember much about her. That was the main problem. His footsteps created a crunch noise as his steps continued. He stopped at one place that sparked a memory from that girl. 

"L/N Y/N and Giyuu Tomioka are best!!" 

Ah yes, how could he forget. He wrote that on a tree stump, no regrets. "Y/N..." He murmured, repeating the name in his mind. Well that helped, he's gotten the name. It sparked a few more memories in his mind. He memorized the day he had to leave her. He left Y/N for final selection. He promised to return alive and go see her once he came out, but that day never came. As Giyuu was dealing with the loss of his comrades. He continued his tracks, until he reached a cliff. "Can't tell, it's a secret!" Giyuu gasped lightly, hearing the voice in his mind again. He sat on the cliff, remembering those good times with Y/N. He smiled gently, his first smile in awhile. He looked up at the sky, which was dark and scattered with stars and a full moon. "Where'd you go?" He asked no one, fluttering his eyes shut. He's wondered that for 11 years. He heard gentle footsteps behind him, causing him to snap his head back. He sees E/C eyes, along with flowing H/C hair (Sorry if you don't have any 😔✊). Memories rushed in his head, remembering eyes just like theirs. "G-Giyyu-san?" A soft voice stammered, coming out of the darkness of the forest. The demon resembled Y/N, older I guess. She seemed human still, not really showing much demon in her except the fangs. Her appearance had changed, her hair longer with F/C faded on the ends, taller...a bit. "Y/N.." Giyuu muttered, pupils dilating at the sight of her. "Why are you a demon..?" He grimaced, his eyes now becoming watery. 

Y/N stayed silent, as she began to speak. "I had no choice, either he killed you or I joined him. God gave me a chance, and I was out of his grasp. I've heard of other demons out of Muzan's reach, Tamayo-San, Yuichiro-San, and Nezuko-San. Well known for being out of reach. I'm sorry, I just wanted to protect you." Y/N croaked, pursing her lips to hold tears. Giyuu's lips parted slightly, as if he were to say something but nothing came out of his mouth. He sheathed his sword with his head hanging low. "I'm sorry." He said before walking away. Y/N stood with teary eyes as she watched her childhood best friend abandon her. "I thought we promised something." Y/N muttered. 

"Y/N, promise me you'll never leave my side?" "I promise!!! Cross my heart!!" 

Giyuu stopped in his tracks, suddenly struck with pure guilt. His heart felt heavy, his eyes glassy. "..." "Please Tomioka-San, please..." She held his hand in hers, feeling the touch from years ago again. His body stiffened at the touch, before asking her. "How many humans have you eaten?" He asked, knowing she'd be honest with him unless she wants to die. Y/N sighed, closing her eyes gently. "None. I get my energy from the moonlight, that's why I'm here. I'm immune to sun, for my sake." She let out the truth to Giyuu, who already had tears down on his face. "I-It should've b-been me. This is all my fault..." Giyuu trembled, gripping tightly onto Y/N's hand "No it's not, you did-" "IT IS MY FAULT. I should've been protecting you instead of crying over the death of my comrades, I can't change anything. I can't go back in time." He shouted. Y/N watched, her tears were threatening to fall as he let out his inner demons. "I should've stayed with you." He muttered, continuing his way away. Y/N stood there, at this one she knew she couldn't convince him. He turned cold over the years they'd been apart, it hurt her heart to think about. She sat down, watching him leave. "I'm sorry..." She muttered to him though he couldn't hear her.

Giyuu woke up, and did his usual routine, putting his uniform on, grabbing his sword, ready for patrol. Just.. one thing bothered him. "I thought we promised something." His teeth unconditionally clinched together as those words replayed in his mind. Just thinking about her...his heart fluttered for some reason, he wanted to run to her and hug her. But.. he brushed off those feelings long ago, there's no point in loving someone who's long gone from your life. That was something he thought.  There's no turning back time, he can only imagine. He heard a knock at my door as I contemplated life. He shuffled himself to the door, seeing a book at his doorstep. He looked at it skeptically, raising a brow before taking it in. He sat at my futon, placing his sword down whilst taking the book up. He looked at it up and down, bottom to top. Nothing weird, from the looks of it at least. Giyuu opened the book, revealing a photo of himself...and..Y/N. They both held a stick skewered with rice cakes and both had a big grin on our faces was shown in the black and white photos. There was also a caption at the bottom of the page.

"Me and Giyuu-san went to my mother's house today! She made rice cakes for us!!" 

He smiled sadly, feeling like something was missing in his life. After going through photos and memories, another other page had two pictures. The night sky, himself, and Y/N, pointing up at the sky. "Me and Giyuu-san went stargazing tonight!" The caption read, below it was another caption. "That was the last time I saw Giyuu before he left for final selection. I miss him, I wish to see him again." Giyuu suddenly felt guilt in his heart, making a lump in his throat form. He waited for the night to come, no patrolling today. Once sundown began, he slammed his home door open and ran, ran towards the same place he saw the girl at that day weeks ago. He ran through the bushes and bramble, cut by thorns on his arms. He stopped when he saw the familiar H/C locks. "Y/N" He breathed, eyes softening at the sight of her. She snapped her head back with her eyes widening at the sight of him. Before Y/N could say anything, she was being hugged by Giyuu, who held her tightly. Y/N smiled gently, happy to see him. 

"I'm sorry, I didn't truly think about my feelings towards you-" Giyuu was cut off at the feeling of pain coming from his shoulder. Blood dripped from his shoulder, as teeth sank into his skin. "Sorry, you should really reconsider when you hug a demon. Y'know, though I'm your friend...or was before I became a demon, that doesn't mean I would give you a free pass or shit like that." Y/N shrugged with a smug smirk on her face. "Not like you'd care for a demon, we're the ones who caused this mayhem, right?" She asked Giyuu before finishing him off.
