3. Asshole

And they live happily ever after...no, not at all. The book is an open-ending. It is up to the readers imagination to think about how the ending should end. I finished the book just like that. Now, how open should I described it other than it being an open ending? Hmm, I think it is okay if you want to pass the time. She use weird plants that is only available in that world to make her death look real. That's also what she used to hide her menstruation cycle. The author did not elaborate quite a lot of things that is while got confused sometimes but I just continued my reading. Quite boring if you ask me, but the middle half of the story is kinda entertaining. Though I still hate an open-ending book. If this is an online book, I'd rate it around seven point six out of ten. I didn't notice the time because of my goal of finishing the novel.

"Hmm, what time is it?"

What the heck! It's 3:30 pm already. My work starts at 4:00 pm. I have so little time, and my workplace is far. I swiftly grab my things and the book, then I run like crazy just to get a cab.

***

*sigh~

Thank goodness, I arrived barely on time. I log my time to the counter to have a dtr and then board the elevator to get to the 6th floor.

*ding!

Walking to my cubicle, I greeted some of my workmates. They have been in here since 12 am, some will go out when I arrived because of the different work hours. I sat on my throne, which is what I like to call my office chair and then started doing the piled files that I have. I sorted first the urgent task and separated the things that are not. As hours passed by, I grab a lunch because my stomach's throwing a tantrum then get back to work.

*stretch

Yawning, i look to the clock that is hanging at the center wall of the office. The clock says, 11:30 in the evening. Finally, it's time to go home! Before  leaving, I have something that I always check. It is the resignation paper that is hidden in one of my cabinets. It's always tempting me. But I always fight my urge to quit because I still have an orphanage that I'm supporting. Already standing after packing my bag and ready to leave, someone called my name.

"Hiraga!"

"Yes, yes, what is it?"

"Sir Rovin is calling you"

*sigh~

Again. What is it this time? I want to go home! Though I am more than ready to leave, I walk my way to the manager's office.

*knock knock

"Come in, come in"

I plastered my business smile at him.

"Yes sir, why did you call me?"

"Ohh nothing, I just want to ask you if you want me to take you home, and maybe grab a dinner wh-"

"No sir, thank you"

"Why are acting like that? Stop acting coy, and don't decline me anymore. Just come with me!"

My anger quickly rose because of what he said. What the stupid freak! Who does he think he is? Coy? Coy?! I thought I have long master the art of patience but this...this is one of the reasons why i want to quit. Just because I fake a smiled at him, he thinks I like him? The audacity! He is fifty years old this year. With a family too! And he thinks he can flirt with me? That's it, I'll quit. I have plenty of savings already. I'll just stop sponsoring for a while and make a small business. I studied business too, though my work right now's a part of graphic design. After my business boom, I'll continue donating.

I walk out of the room to get my resignation letter. The office is quite a long distance cubicle but I can hear him from here. After I got what I needed, I walk back again to his office and slap the resignation letter to his face. Then said...

"Asshole! I quit! I am so sick of you and I hope your family find out that your a certified cheater!"

"W-what?" is the last thing I heard before I walk away.
