12. Touring Around The Tribe

Since it's around three thirty in the afternoon, I am sure that it is now not that sunny. So I ask Rok if he could tour me around the tribe since it's more easy if a local guide you. He said yes, and I almost jump at him. Hehe ofcourse I have a self restrained, I know that he's having a hard time already, I would not torture him. Anyways, when he give me his permission, I almost, again, run out of our den. It looks like my anxiety mellow out because of the mission and the reward it's going to give me. But of course I got stop, one pair of hands grab my shoulder before turning me. And there, look, the most handsome man with a puppy eyes looking at me like I did something crazy.

"What? Hey... Why would you stop me?" I said accusingly. Ackk, I am sorry! I chanted my apologies in my mind.

"Sel, I don't want you to die."

"Hehh, why would I die when I am just going out? Did I already triggered someone to have a grudge against me?"

"What? No no... It's nothing like that. What I mean is, snow is pouring outside. It is the season of cold right now, that is why a lot of snow pile around the tribe. It is not that much of a threat but weak females might get sick from the coldness."

"Ohh, snow and cold.... Wait wait wait, are you saying I am weak? That I would get sick and die if I go out? Then, why did you give me your permission? Hmm, tell me~" Geez, I really am sorry. Here he is trying his best to keep me alive but here I am teasing him. Welp, it's his fault for being such a cute tiger.

"No!" Oh my, oh my... Did he just shout at me? I actually got scared. Imagine someone with a deep voice screaming at you, wouldn't you feel scared too?
But it's all just momentarily, the fear banished quickly when I saw him looking like he made such a big mistakes. Oh no, I am the one who made a mistake.

"I am so sorry, Rok. You're so cute that I can't help myself from teasing you. But it looks like my joke got too far. I am sorry. Can you please explain again, why would the cold harm me?"

"No I...it's my fault that I sho-"

"Hep hep, hurray! Hehe just kidding... But please stop apologizing to me. We both know it's my fault that I got you frustrated. It's fine if you scold me from time to time. Once we mated, we're going to live together for a long time. And I want you to tell me off if I am too much. Okay? Relationship is like a two way road, there needs to be a destination for it to work."

Wait, it looks like I got the quote mess up. And does he even know what a road looks like? Right, I really mess up, didn't I?

"Okay then... Listen to me please. The reason I stop you is to give this." He gave me a robe. Wow, I could feel the butterflies running amok inside my tummy.

"It is something that could help you keep your temperature. I saw this many times when the other warriors bought they're mates outside when it's cold. I am not able to make something like this, so I just brought it. But I will learn it soon, so I could make you many clothes like this."

Aww, I really am blessed! I should reward this man. What should I give him, hmm? I don't have money, and I am not skilled in cooking. I also don't have a talent for stitching. Yes, you heard me right. Rok taught me how to stitch three days ago but I could feel it, I don't have the ability to learn stitching. Before I could start my pity party, Rok shook me. I got startled so I look at him.

"It's okay now, we can go outside."

I didn't notice, but he already made me wear the robe. Okay, it's not the time to dwell on what I can't do. Maybe I could help him with the reward I'll be getting to after this, so let's wait and see.

Going out for the first time again this week, I could feel the freshness of the snow. Wow...Snow really is mesmerizing. It's not sunset yet that is why the color is still white.

Anyways, we started our walk. The first destination is the village market. I need to observe what kind of food or things they sell there so I can recreate it. This is the first step I needed to take in order to get rich~

Arriving at the market, I noticed that there's some division between stalls. On the right side, you can see five stalls with different butchered animals and some kind of plants and fruits, like the bana-bana fruit that I ate the first day I came here. And on the left side, it's the same number of stalls but with different things. You'll see trinkets, fur clothes, and some roughly made baskets.  Since this is only a tribe, I didn't expect it to be super good. And it's the right choice. But it's not bad either. I looked at each stall one by one. The first is the butchered animals. There some kind of head in each stall that shows what kind of animals it is they are selling. There is no same wild animals in each three stall. I would like to buy this and try it but Rok said that he's just going to hunt it later. So I agreed, since I don't have the money to buy this anyway. Instead I ask what kind of chop are they doing, but they don't have a name for it. If it's a head, then it's a head.

Sighing, I switch to a different stall. There are two stall who have plants, herbs, spices, and fruits as there goods. There are some familiar one like onion, ginger, garlic, chili's, calamansi, apple, dalandan, and lastly, the bana-bana fruit. They are all the same but twice as big from the fruit and spices from earth.
After asking how much this and that cost, I understand their currency. The money they use is a crystal. There are five colors of crystal. White, Blue, Orange, Red, and Black. One white crystal is equals to one dollar, one blue crystal is equals to two dollars, one orange crystal is equals to three dollars, one red crystal is equals to four dollars, and one black crystal is equals to five dollars. I ask Rok how much he had and he said...

"I have ten white crystal and three blue crystals."

So the money he had accumulate is sixteen dollars in total. I think that the money he had is quite good if he's single... Since he hunt his food and sew his own clothes. He also own his den, so he didn't need to pay. That is thanks to him being the tribe's warrior. But now, that is not enough for the two of us and our future children. Now, I really feel the pressure to come up with something that is going to make us some money. Thinking about the future hurt my head.

We brought two bana-bana fruit and one onion for two white crystal. Hehe it was supposed to be three white crystal but because of my barter skills, that I didn't know I have, i managed to brought it down. After that, we look at the trinkets, and fur clothes the other stalls have but I quickly lose my interest.
Since we finished sightseeing at the market, we change our location to the houses, I mean den, of his tribesmen. It's quite good, it looks strong and warm. I kinda envy the tribesman living outside the mountains. Their den is more beautiful than the caves inside the mountains. I am really gonna take my time designing and renovating our den. So much time past, and the sun is already setting. I took that chance to see the color of the snow changes from white to red-orange.

Ding! Quest Complete!

I look at the notification that pop up right in front of my face. It have the same style as the book, like someone is writing using a type writer. As I click to read further, the notification says...

To claim reward, please open the book.

Ofcourse I need to open the damn book. I should have a bag so that I could bring the book everywhere! Damnn!
