Chapter 31

Chase's POV

Location: South Soul City

“WE'RE GOING to a party?!” naibulalas ko nang salubungin kami ni Venisse kasama si Sage.

Kakarating lang namin at eto agad ang bungad nila pagkababa sa bus. Nandito na rin sila Christopher at Rafael, kakababa lang ng bus nila. Nagkumpulan kami dito sa gilid ng bus habang ang ibang estudyante ay papunta na sa hotel. Anyway, South Soul City is very lively because of the people. As expected, in the morning to evening a lot of people are busy.

“Yes, Sage gave me the list earlier, and there's this one person that I recognized. Sabi ni Sage nang hanapin n'ya ang kinaroroonan ng taong 'to ay dadalo daw s'ya sa isang pagdiriwang. We can corner him at the party!” nagningning ang mga mata ni Venisse. Parang mas excited s'ya sa party kesa sa paghahanap sa taong tinutukoy n'ya.

Kung titignan nga naman, isa itong party ng mga bigating tao at yung taong hinahanap namin ay isang VIP dahil inimbita lang naman s'ya ng mismong host ng party na 'yon. Pero napatigil ako nang mapagtantong wala kaming invitation. I immediately turned to Venisse who was still excited about the party. She was murmuring something to the others, I can't hear her but I think I know what she's planning. 

“Wag n'yong sabihing mang ga-gate crash tayo?” tanong ko pero bigla silang nag-iwas ng tingin at hindi ako sinagot.

Lumaki ang mga mata ko. Seryoso ba sila?!

“Chase, magtiwala ka sakin,” sabi ni Venisse habang tinapik-tapik ang balikat ko. Nakita ko pa ang simpleng pagngisi n'ya. Tinignan ko ang iba upang alamin ang desisyon nila.

“I'll just go with the flow of the plan,” Rafael said, nonchalantly.

“I'm fine with it, hindi naman tayo mananakit ng mga tao sa party, mag focus lang tayo sa isang taong hinahanap natin, ” marahang usal ni Christopher. Hindi ko na binalingan si Rhian dahil alam ko na ang desisyon n'ya.

“Hindi kaya mahuli tayo?” I asked nervously. Of course I'll be nervous, I never done this before. 

“We don't have a choice anyway, sino naman ang magbibigay satin ng invitation? unless we'll try to steal someone's identity and act like we're one of the real guest,” what Sage said is more possible for us getting in jail. If we get caught with that method we're not just gonna be gate crashers but also identity thieves.

Na stress ako ng onti. Bakit ba lagi silang nagreresulta sa ilegal na gawain? pero wala nga naman talaga kaming choice. We need to at least do something while we're here. There's always someone that's watching us. After what happened to me I can say that there's more chances that one of us can get in danger. Unexpected things keeps happening, I don't blame them if they want to finish this quickly as possible.

We just want to know what we really are back in the past. We want this confusing thoughts to vanish. But there's always a nuisance in each city.

I hate to say this but...

“Let's just gate crash, we don't need to steal someone's identity. I'm sure we can pull it off,” sabi ko sabay hilot sa noo ko.

“Ayos! and since it's a party, you know what that means...” Venisse went closer to us then mumble the word 'shopping'.

Now I know why she's excited. But then again, I also do feel like buying a dress for the party.

“What's the color theme?” tanong ko.

“Gold, Silver, and Black,” agarang sagot ni Sage sa tanong ko.

“Yes, pumili muna tayo ng kulay, tapos mamayang 2pm magsisimula tayong mamili. Marami pa tayong oras dahil mamaya, around 8pm ang simula ng party,” sabi ni Venisse. Oh? edi sakto pala ang dating namin.
