Chapter 19

Chase's POV

DUMAAN ANG anim na araw at wala pa ring balita sa paggising ni Sage. Wala na ang droga sa katawan n'ya, medyo gumagaling na rin ang sugat n'ya sa ulo sa tulong ng doctor, but there's no sign that he'll wake up. Also in those days Rhian doesn't wear a cast anymore, her arm is completely healed. I'm glad.

“Malapit na rin pala tayong umalis. I'll bond will my parents today, they have a lot of time to spare, how about you? What are your plans?” Rhian asked.

I'm here today in her cafe shop, she served me a raspberry sliced cake and hot choco. Binaba ko ang baso at inisip ang tanong n'ya. I really don't have a specific plan for today.

“I should go to Ivan's school, he's busy with his school activities these days. Malapit na ako umalis at hindi pwedeng hindi ko s'ya maka bonding ngayon,” tugon ko.

That's right, tapos pwede ko rin s'ya tulungan habang nandon ako. Magugulat din 'yon sa pagdating ko dahil hindi pa ako nakakapunta mismo sa school nila.

“Mag-iingat ka Chase,” paalala ni Rhian.

Tumango ako, hindi ako nagpapakampante masyado. Madami na ang nangyare, kailangan ko maging alerto sa paligid ko. Medyo hindi lang ako nagaalala kasi may kasama ako lagi na naka buntot sakin.

“About pala sa binigay ko sayo,” banggit ko sa impormasyon tungkol sa nakaraan.

Ngumiti s'ya sakin, na parang sinsabi n'ya na wala akong dapat alalahanin.

“Nothing change, I already have an idea. Although I'm still surprise but that's all it, I'm not gonna leave you both,” she assured.

Nakahinga naman ako nang maluwag. Matagal na itong nasa isip ko, nung una kaming nagkita wala s'yang binanggit tungkol sa binigay ko sakanya. Mabuti at nabigyan na ako nang kasagutan.

“All I can contribute for you Chase is this,” she gave a piece of paper.

There's something written in the small paper. When I read it, I knew that this were names of unfamiliar people.

“I remember those names, I don't know why, I'm confused too. Sana lang may maitulong yan,” sabi n'ya.

Hmm, names huh?

“What do you think about this?” Napaisip si Rhian sa tanong ko.

“Since you told me I'm the Boss of something from the past, maybe those are list of targets?” she thought.

Napatakip naman ako sa bibig ko. At bakit naman kami may ganong listahan?

“For what?” I asked with my eyes widened. She chuckled because of my reaction. I frowned.

“I don't know, you asked for my thoughts, I just said what's on my mind,” she shrugged.

“Masyado naman ata ito, ang dami nilang nandito. Siguro ay ito ang mga taong kakilala natin?” I said, not sure.

“Pwede yung sa part na kilala natin sila, but I doubt that those people are close to us.” I also doubt it.

“Try searching for their names, I'm sure it's not gonna be hard since you have the drone with you,” she suggested. Sumangayon ako, nasa isip ko na rin ang hanapin kung sino ang mga taong ito.

Nagpaalam na ako na aalis na, alam kong may pupuntahan din si Rhian kaya nauna na ako lumabas. I was busy with my phone while the drone is just floating above me, sometimes the hologram will come out if Sage wants to talk to me. Because of this, I'm getting some unwanted attention when I passed by, is this what Sage feels like everyday?
