ONCE THEIR WOUNDED friend from town was enough healed to be released onto the world again, things were starting to become normal. Carl was finally fully recovered from his shot gun wound, Melissa's grazed arm was a mere memory and her broken wrist was fully functional. Shane was calmer and more racional and Beth had woken up from her state of shock only a few days after their return.

While her brother and Shane took a trip down the road to drop the kid off somewhere far away enough, things at the farm were boring and task less. The women of the farm had no chores to do and while the men went down to hunt or fix something, or do as Dale and take long walks through the forest, the girls took care of Beth. And she needed much of that.

Once she, Andrea, Glenn and T-Dog had finished their meals and put their paper plates away, each took their own way to do themselves useful. Melissa chose to clean her gun on the outside park and she was working hard on it when a fiery Andrea stepped out from the house, cursing left and right and passing by her.
