[Season 3—episode 7]
when the dead come knocking

                    MORNING CAME, THE sun rose. Melissa woke up in an actual mattress with Luna's soft breath in the upper bed. It could be felt in the air, the hope filling in their lungs again. Their need to keep on living and trying for each other.

The day continued on like normal. People went onto do their own things, each trying to help with their new home. Daryl went down with Carl earlier to clear up the halls, trying to find some remains from Carol. Now Carl had come back to eat something while Daryl kept on looking.

The prisoners, Oscar and Axel, were also doing their part on arrangements, trying to work out the lights and the kitchen, clearing out the spaces. Then, Ben used their help to move out the bodies in their nearest courtyard. Melissa tried to help but he told her to stay back and get a good sleep before going back to chores so she stayed back and helped Beth with the baby and her stuff. Maggie and Glenn had gone off on the road to look for more baby formula and maybe some other things they could use, in the meantime, the group tried to be useful.

Useful enough they brought in a woman with a katana and a gunshot wound in her leg.

Melissa thought she looked harmless enough once they watched her drop to the floor while walkers piled up to eat her alive. Now, Rick carried her in his arms as they ran inside the secure walls of the cell block, "Carl, get a blanket!" he ordered, walking down the steps with the rest following, "Beth, water and a towel!"
