Yujin didn't mean to choke at lunch the other day, but his mom's subtle proclamation of how you were the perfect candidate to be her son's first girlfriend was... interesting.
Yeah, he does see why she thought so; everyone present in his life loved you. All of his friends, his parents--his brother even asked when the next time you were going to come over was. (He told him he wasn't sure when you would turn up again.)
Before Gunwook left, he was able to sneak a minute in with him to ask what he meant about you and him being the older boy's second project. "Like I said, nothing!" he says, but Yujin doesn't believe that because a mischievous grin is plastered on Gunwook's face. "It's cute how you're both oblivious."
Plus, even if he did see how great you were, he didn't know how you felt about him. You probably didn't like him, and he doesn't like you either, for that matter.
But recalling the smile on your face after he let you win Uno, he thinks maybe there is the smallest possibility--the absolute smallest--that he could like you. And he's scared in the case that he starts to.

You're terribly exhausted from your day at the fair. You rode several other rides post-Ferris wheel, and the split second you got into the car, you fell weak to slumber. The seating arrangement was the same as this morning, and when a bump in the road causes the vehicle to shake, your head ends up on Yujin's shoulder. It takes everything in him not to freak out, but he had been freaking out throughout the entirety of today at this point.
You held his wrist twice. You worried for him when he was afraid of the roller coaster, and he even had the guts to hold your hand on it. You didn't even let go. He looks at the bunny plush in his lap and something bubbles in the pit of his stomach (in a good way).
Gunwook wiggles his eyebrows teasingly at him, and then chuckles as he snaps a picture. "They're so cute, look," he slides through the picture(s) he took, showcasing it to Gyuvin, Nara and Eunah in the middle row. (Unbeknownst to Yujin, Gunwook took more than one picture--he saved them into a photo album and titled it your ship name.)
The three sat in front of him go on about how cute the two of you are, but Yujin subconsciously ignores them. He adjusts his position by the tiniest millimetre to ensure optimum comfort for you, and as Ricky's driving is too fast and the minivan shakes again during a speed bump, you stir in your sleep.
You mumble a few incomprehensible things, but soon enough you're back to sleep. Your hand moves to rest above his thigh, and you just look so comfortable on his shoulder; he would wish that you could be asleep like this, leaning on him forever, but that would be weird and borderline crazy to say out loud.
The ends of your lips pull up into a crescent, and he wonders what you could possibly be dreaming about to smile like that. It's a different smile than he usually sees on your face--this one is reminiscent, and it's like you're thinking about good memories in your sleep. Hopefully he was in one of them.
