"Hey, hey," he called out to her yet her eyes didn't waver from where they were trailing at someone in the hallway from the library window.
"Y/N, is anyone in there???" it was only when the person she was admiring felt her gaze on him and passed a smirk at her that she looked away at the books splayed in front of her and the person sitting across the table.
"What was that?" she asked flustered with blush on her cheeks for being caught red handed.
"I was asking if you knew how to solve this for x?" Jamie, the principal's son asked sliding his notebook towards her.
"Oh, yeah, it's like this-" Y/N, a smart student in her classes, had started hanging out with Jamie since they tied up at the end of year maths competition last year. They had been helping each other with studies as well as their social lives as they were each other's only fellow student that they would hang out with. Jamie was always only approached by kids so that he could ask his dad, the principal, to not call the student's parents. So when Y/N extended the hand of friendship after finally finding someone on par with her, Jamie did not hesitate to take that hand.
Y/N was very clear with their friendship. He was just a fellow student because Y/N did not have time for any sort of relationships apart from her family. However, Jamie thought of her as his best friend and from his side, the friendship was turning into love that he thought was mutual.

Y/N was very clear about what she had wanted in life. But what she did not see coming was developing a crush on the school's bad boy who had a reputation of a heart breaker. That was SO not on her to do list when she came to this high school after going to an all girl's middle school.
