If i was told on any normal day that Jeon Jungkook and Han SoHee were coming to our university, i would have been on the 9th cloud. But today happened to be the results day and more than that, it was the district's result!
So at this moment, i could not entertain the thoughts that literally international celebrities were a few meters away from me.
Along with the whispers from everyone around us, i tried to find my seat which happened to be right next to Sohee who was next to Jungkook who was next to two other girls.
"And the first position goes to Y/N!!!" Cheers and clasp made me feel that this was unreal but when the head master handed me my performa, i couldn't help but stare at the marks where i hadn't gotten full score.
I came and sat next to Sohee.
Suddenly, there was pitch darkness that startled everyone especially the guests and the security were about to move. I heard Sohee saying something which i assumed was directed towards Jungkook. "Don't worry. They're about to start the show!" I reassured her and the moment i finished my sentence, lights on the stage started flickering magenta and blue as dancers came upone the stage.
I heard Sohee speak again but couldn't hear her over the loud music. I brought my ear closer to her so i could hear her clear. That's when I realised she was speaking Korean.
"Ah, I'm sorry. I don't speak korean," i told her regretful. only if i had learnt more!
"Oh," she said and turned to Jungkook who was leaning forward to hear our conversation. Jungkook spoke something directed towards me and Sohee reprimanded him. "She said she can't speak korean!" Sohee scolded him. "Only if you hadn't drank, you would've been present here!" Jungkook's eyes widened when i turned to him and asked "did you drink again?" I swear the amout of times i had seen this man drinking on Lives!
The sheer look of panic in his eyes made me smile as he pinched his thumb and index close and said "a little," at the same time as I said "Jogeum" which meant "a little" in korean.
They both looked at me surprised and I couldn't help but laugh.
"Sorry, i do speak and understand just a bit korean. Not enough to hold conversations though," i clarified.
Han Sohee relayed my words to Jungkook and he made an ok sign with his fingers.
"You know, there's this app that you can use where you talk to strangers and they help you with your korean while just having normal conversations." Han Sohee told me what Jungkook had said in Korean. And i turned to him surprised as I passed him my phone and asked him to download the app for me.
