It's been almost half an hour since Kimberly went with Silvia to help her. That way I have some time to think back to this evening. I had a really great evening. I really expected to have a lot more trouble with all the people and all the attention focused on Kimberly and me. I basically only had eyes for Kimberly all evening and half the time I forgot where I was. I almost start to doze off when Silvia comes back into the living room. "Sorry, but could you perhaps also help?". I nod and get up to walk with Silvia. "What the hell are you still doing right now?". Silvia looks at me with a smile. "I can't explain it. You'll understand when you see it." Silvia takes me to the back door. She has the door habdle in her hand and looks at me. "My work is done. The rest is up to you". I look at her questioningly. At that moment she opens the door for me.

The first thing I notice are several heart-shaped balloons. They seem to form a path. I look at the ground and there I see many rose petals. I look at Silvia, who has a big smile on her face. "What is this?". She shrugs. "There is only one way to find out. You just have to follow the right path". I give her a nod and step outside anyway. Slowly I start following the path of rose petals and balloons. Everything is going through my mind right now, but at the same time I also seem to have a kind of blackout. I really have no idea what awaits me. The path leads me to the beach.

Arriving at the beach I see a figure standing in a heart of fire. I'm transfixed. As soon as the figure sees me, it walks towards me. The figure carefully steps between two flaming torches. I feel tears running down my cheeks when I see it's Kimberly. She's wearing the dress I bought her in Italy. She slowly walks towards me. As soon as she's right in front of me, she holds out her hand to me. "Julia, can I have this dance?" As soon as I grab her hand I hear the first tones of thinking out loud. I look at her with a smile. Without saying anything she takes me through the flaming torches, so that we are right in the middle of it. "Sunshine, what is this?" I ask softly as we move quietly to the music. "Shhh. Relax beauty". Is the only thing she whispers.

As soon as the song ends, Kimberly steps away from me. She takes both my hands and looks at me with a smile. "Dear Julia. Today was really great and I hope it will be even more special. I'm not sure what to say to do justice to how much I love you. You may think this is way too fast, but I definitely know what I want. From day one, in my father's office, you made an indelible impression. That day brought a smile to my face after years and has not disappeared since. You have brought back my joy of life. You are a beautiful woman who is always there for me. You comfort me when needed. You make my stomach hurt from laughing. You put me back in my place when needed. You let me be myself. You supports me in difficult times. You love me even though sometimes I'm not so nice. You listen to me and give me advice. You bring out the best of myself. You taught me about the important things in life. And speaking of important things, the most important person in your life is behind you and would like to ask you something." I see some tears running down Kimberly's cheeks. I don't think I really understand what's going on yet. Confused, I look at Kimberly. She looks at me with a smile. "Turn around," she says softly.

When I have turned around my tears are completely unstoppable. In front of me is Sem, dressed in a tight suit. "Mommy, will you marry Kimberly?" I put my hand over my mouth. I can't say anything at all and I seem to have forgotten how to function. "You are supposed to turn around now," says Sem with a smile on his face. I turn back and there I see Kimberly with one knee in the sand in front of me. With her outstretched hand she holds a box with there in a beautiful ring. "Is this all really happening?". Kimberly nods with a nervous smile on her tear-stained face. I realize now that I'm keeping her waiting far too long for an answer. I get down on my knees and grab her face with both hands. "Kimberly, I love you so much. It is a dream come true to marry you. Yes, of course I want that". A big smile appears on her face. "Are you sure?". I nod. "Yes of course Sunshine, I want nothing more than to marry you". I say just before I put my lips on hers. I can't wait to call Kimberly my wife and live the rest of my life with her by my side.
