A light breeze blew through my (hair color). I breathed the fresh air in letting myself relax in this beautiful moment.

I slipped off platform shoes as I stepped into the edge of Lake Hylia. I held up my white halter dress to keep it from getting wet.

I felt some soft rippling in the lake. Soon enough, I saw the princess of the Zoras gliding through the previously still waters. I smiled to myself as she jumped out of the water.

"Show off," I laughed.

"Only for you," she said in her soft yet melodic voice. "Besides, I haven't seen you in forever."

"Yeah, sorry about that. Father has ordered that I study the ancient Hylian texts. You would not believe how hard it is to teach yourself how to read old hylian is."

We started walking to the nearest bank, and sat beside one another. I laid down on by back, still trying to take in the serene atmosphere as Mipha laid on her stomach. She propped her head on her arms as she listened to me recall my studies.

"So, why aren't you studying now?"

"What? Trying to get rid of me?" I teased.

Mipha stumbled to find the right words. She was so cute when she was flustered, but I'd never have the courage to tell her that.

"No! I... You—but..." She ran her hand over her head trying to compose herself.

"Hey, relax, I was just messing with you."

"Anyways," Mipha said recovering. "I was just wondering why your father let you out of the castle today of all days. I mean you haven't come to the domain in months."

"Trust me, I would much rather be with you than slaving away trying to understand old hylian. Father is worried that the great calamity will soon rise. So, he's determined in making me and Zelda uncover our inner power. He's had her pray at every Goddess Statue and ancient spring until she can't feel her feet anymore."

"Oh no, that sounds horrific."

"Yeah," I said sadly. "Zelda blames herself for not unlocking any of her powers yet."

"What about you though?"

"Oh well... through my studies I was able to read the ancient texts that tell of the Era of the Goddess Hylia and the Era of the Sky. The stories that they teach is great but the texts paint a much bigger picture. It tells of Hylia's great sacrifice and how she enlisted the help of all the races of the earth."

"Oh really?"

"In fact, the history of Hylia's great battle was known as the Imprisoning War. I found that it has many similarities to the prophecies that my father thinks are about to come to fruition. But I'm getting off topic."

"I don't mind, (Name). I love hearing you talk like this. You're so passionate." She leaned a hand against her face as I sat up.

I tried to focus a warmth throughout my body. That's when my hands began to glow a bright golden light before the material I was trying to summon appeared.

Mipha gasped as the instrument appeared in my hands.

"This is why Father let me out of his sight. It's Goddess Hylia's ancient harp. I found it while I was studying. I don't even know how I did it, but I somehow made it appear before me. Isn't it beautiful? It's almost as if it isn't hasn't survived over a millennium."

The gracious harp golden hue sparkled in the light. Its strings waiting eagerly to be played. The entire instrument emanated an otherworldly power.

"It's breathtaking." Mipha mused as she delicately placed her hand against the bird encrusted cravings.

"Those are loftwings. They were the loyal protectors of the people of the sky, Skyloft. Goddess Hylia left them as a gift to her people. But that's not the best part about this harp."

"What is?" Mipha sat up trying to move closer to me.

"It is through this harp that I can channel my own ancient magic. When I play the right song, I can use its power. For instance, while studying, I found many ancient songs that allow me to reverse time, heal, and control the weather. It's amazing, but my favorite song would be The Ballad of the Goddess."

"Would you play it for me? Please?"

"Well, I—I," I said a little sleepishly. "I don't think I'm a very good singer or anything."

"Nonsense," Mipha exclaimed. "Your voice is beautiful. Please princess? For me?"

I took a deep breath, placing my fingers on the strings and prepared to play.

As I continued to sing, Mipha began to dance across the water's surface. Her graceful movements mirrored that of the angelic melody. She glided across the lake occasionally performing pirouette and other graceful movements.

She was breathtaking.

I had stopped played and Mipha quickly jumped back onto our little bank.

"See? That was absolutely beautiful. Your voice is absolutely beautiful."

"Th-thank you," I blushed.

I moved a loose strand of my hair behind my ear as I felt Mipha's gentle gaze on me. I had fallen for the Zora princess, and it was serene moments like this that made me love her even more.

"(Name)."

"Yes?" Mipha's voice brought me out of my thoughts.

"I'm glad we were able to hang out today. I miss you a lot when you're not around."

"I miss you too, Mipha. If it wasn't for my father, I would spend way more time with you. You know that. I'm just hoping his premonitions of the Great Calamity resurfacing are just that, premonitions."

Mipha touched my hands looking me in the eyes.

How I wanted to savor this wonderful moment.

"No matter what happens, promise me that after all of this is over, you'll visit me more often."

"I promise."
