The sun's rays began to engulf my room with its sepia rays.
My eyes slowly adjusted to the sun's warm and soothing tone. My blinds could barely keep the rays from brightening the entire room.
With a definite struggle, I yawned and turned onto my stomach to stretch. I didn't want to wake up, and my sore limps from a full day of training didn't make it any more appealing.
After blinking the sleepiness away, I turned on my side to my sleeping boyfriend.
He was facing the wall with little adorable snores and groans coming out of his mouth occasionally. I smiled to myself as the sun reflected on the soft delicate skin of his back.
Something I loved about Link was he was a walking heating pad.
I pressed myself up against his back, draping an arm over his waist. To my surprise, one of his hands absentmindedly grabbed my hand and brought it to his chest.
I softly giggled to myself at the motion. I loved spooning him more than anything especially in the morning.
It was dumb but I would never get used to waking up like this. I mean how could I? Every morning was pure bliss as I woke next to the love of my life. His gentle sounds he made, his sleepy motions of trying to hold me as close as he could, and him stealing all my blankets.
I gave the golden-haired boy a kiss on the back of shoulder whispering him little 'I love you's' before I tried to snuggle up to him some more.
I really loved this man, and I would scream that to all of Hyrule if I could. There was hardly a person I was friends with that didn't know the extent of my love for the green knight. I admit it must be annoying since I can barely go a conversation without talking about him. But, in my defense, I was in love for the first time.
Link may not have been my first love but he was my favorite and he always would be.
Forever and always.
He shortly woke up a little more and turned so he was facing me.
His soft cerulean eyes were so beautiful in the morning sun's rays. They were always beautiful, but in the morning, I could really see the golden specks that lined his pupils.
I could get lost in his eyes for a lifetime.
I tried pulling away from him after muttering something about needing to be up before the cucco's sing. I had promised Malon that I'd help her on the ranch.
"Don't leave..." he murmured sleepily, "sleep, please."
"Come on, Link. You know we need to get up."
"But I don't wanna." Link whined wrapping his arms around me and pulling me into his chest while intertwining our legs under the sheets.
I could never say no to his cute little pout even less so when he gave me a little forehead kiss. So, against my better judgement, I stayed in bed with him.
I closed my eyes, only telling myself I'd just do this for a little bit, but I fell asleep very quickly.
That's the thing about Link, I could always fall asleep faster than anything.
I don't know how long we were out, all I knew was when I woke up I saw Link throwing on his green tunic and pulling on his signature boots.
"Morning." I said wiping my eyes.
The green clad hero walked over to me to give me a soft kiss to the lips. When we pulled away, I pushed some of his golden hair out of his face and quick gave him another peck before sitting up.
"We're gonna be late, you know?"
"Yeah, but I don't regret getting some extra cuddles with you."
"You're such a dork."
"Your dork."
"Whatever," I teased. "Why do you always make us late by sleeping in all the time?"
"Same reason you let me, muffin." He said pulling a strand of my hair behind my ear before giving my nose a little peck. "I only do it when I have someone to snuggle with especially if that someone is you."
I couldn't resist the blush that came to my face. He always knew how to make my heart melt and make me fall for him all over again. Oh goddesses, did I love this man.
"You're lucky I'm your girlfriend and let you sleepover all the time then."
"I sure am."
