Today would be a good day.
I sat in Professor Gaepora's class like always; in the second row second seat in with my brown paperback notebook. However, this class was going to be unlike all the others.
"Miss (Name)!"
I jumped in my seat a little. I could feel my cheeks heat up in embarrassment as I moved my hand from resting against my cheek.
"Here?" I answered not meeting the elderly professor's fatherly gaze.
"I don't believe you are. Tell me, Miss (Name), how did the Imprisoning War end?"
Imprisoning War... Imprisoning War... What war was that again?
"I know, sir!"
I turned to the right of me to the golden student, Zelda. Her golden locks bouncing off her shoulders as she waved her hand in the air.
I must say, I am surprised to see this from you, Miss (Name). I'll let you off the hook this time, but for next time, spend more time in this classroom than wherever your head is today."
The rest of the lecture flew by. I tried to pay attention; I really did.
Whether it was Zelda's continual antics of 'oh, I know the answer' and the professor trying to get anyone but her to answer for once, Professor Gaepora's losing himself in his own little stories and quips about the time in history we were studying, or the dead silence of everyone around me.
But I blocked most of it out. I mean, how could I not?
I was on cloud nine, all because I liked a boy.
The dark, brooding, and even a little roguish Dark.
"See you next time folks! Remember your papers are due next Friday."
With that, the class ended, and we were all heading for the door. I headed straight for my mail locker which was on the opposite side of the college.
In my locker was a bouquet of white lilies with pale blue covering the insides of the pedals. The vase they were in had a little card tied to it with some twine.

Dark was a senior. He was known for his reputation that made just about anyone fear him. He would even part the hallways like the Red Sea.
My friends had always warned me about Dark. They would say things like: "stay away from the upperclassman," or "he's nothing but trouble." But they just didn't know him like I did.
Behind the aggressive façade, he was someone who understood me. He was a fiercely protective guy who I knew had my back. Yeah, he had an arrogant, cruel, and angry air to him but once someone got past it, they could see him for who he really was. Just like I do.
I think it's the red eyes that scared people. They were intense then his brows made him look like he was always angry. It worked on me too, to a degree. I was afraid to approach him.
I remember the first time I talked to Dark.
I went over to his and his brother's dorm. I had to meet up with Link because of a class project.
