Apollo had been gone for about two months. It was the middle of the night when I heard the screaming.

I didn't know where it was coming from or who it was but I knew it was someone. I sat straight up in bed. I attempted to stand up but stumbled. The ground shook beneath my feet and I had to grab my bed for support.

Charlie shrieked at the shaking as Malcolm fell out of his bed.

"Do you normally get Earthquakes here?" Charlie asked loudly.

"Not usually!" Malcolm replied.

That's when I realized. "Nico," I said. I stumbled and crossed my way to the door.

"Where are you going, Liz?" Malcolm asked.

"It's Nico!" I yelled.

I forced the door open to see I was right. There were cracks along the grass that were threatening to open and spill out skeletons. They were black and large. The ground shooks with screams coming from other cabins. The nearly finished Cabin Four was falling apart without the completed foundations.

The crevasses were all stemming from Cabin Thirteen.

I had to jump off the porch of Cabin Six. I landed on my knees but pulled myself up. I remembered what Chiron said about climbing: knees bent, centre of gravity low. I zigzagged my way down the cabins to Cabin Thirteen. I was glad that I had stepped in on the building designs for the cabins so that Cabin Thirteen was closer.

I gripped the railing and pulled myself up.

I tried to open the door but it was stuck. I pushed against it with my shoulder and a lightning bolt of pain was sent through my frame. I choked back a curse at the stupidity of using my bad shoulder.

"Liz!" Someone yelled. I turned and saw Will coming up the porch.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"I don't know," he replied.

I tried the door again (with my good shoulder). The ground tilted and I fell into the door which then opened.

Nico was crouched in the middle of the cabin.  He was sweating, eyes closed, panting. Will rushed to him and fell on his knees in front of Nico. I nearly crashed into the wall but caught myself as I did. I pushed off the wall and kneeled down next to the couple.

"Nico, Nico," Will said. "Nico, talk to me. Open your eyes."

"Jason," Nico panted. "Jason... he's... he's..."

"Nico, respirare," I instructed. His eyes flashed over and he looked at me shocked. "Nico, respirare. Dentro, fuori."

"In, out," Will repeated.

Nico took a breath in, released it quickly.

"Di nuovo," I encouraged him to repeat.

He took another breath in, then released it. The shaking slowed down.

"There you go," Will coaxed. "Can you do it again?"

Nico opened his eyes slowly. He sat against his bed. He took a deep, slow breath. The shaking stopped.

"Nightmare?" Will asked.

Nico shook his head. "It was something else. It was... it was like when I lost Bianca. Just... worse somehow."

"You said something about Jason," I pointed out. "You think he's in trouble?"

"I don't know," Nico said. "I-I don't know. I have to-"
