I didn't know where I was when I fell asleep. That sounds wrong, but let me explain.

In my dream, I was in a giant hall. It was a warm metal with high ceiling and walls that went up so high I had to strain my neck. I ran my fingers across the walls. They were a little cold, not freezing but not warm either. The metal was thick, probably copper or celestial bronze. There was a set of large double doors at the far end. Engraved in the doors was a large sun, its rays spreading over everything.

I walked further down the hall. A giant doorway was opened to a large living space. Couches and chairs and low tables were laden with food and magazines. At the very back of the room was a giant throne made of the same metal as the walls. It had blazes and starbursts decorated on its back and arms. The couches and tables were all covered with a thin lining of dust that spoke of disuse. The food was on its way to going bad. The throne was the only thing that was in good condition.

I walked over to the tables and smiled. Olympus Weekly. So I was on Olympus.

I looked to the doorway when I heard the noise of horses. I started walking to the door when I saw the light that came as well. I waited till the light died before I came out.

The walls now shone with golden light, like liquid metal. At the far end of the hall was a golden chariot with a sun at the front. It pulled by four horses, their bodies covered in gold hair, their manes and tails were fire.

The driver stepped off the back of the chariot. I knew who it was and yet I still expected something different. I thought he would have changed by now, back to who he was when I first met him. Instead he seemed to be the same. He had curly brunette hair that hung in his eyes, with a teenage body, still just barely six foot. He was wearing that Led Zeppelin shirt, jeans and Nike sneakers. He had a few ashy marks on his face like he had been in a stove all day. He was incapable of being burdened by these horses yet he still bore the marks of his work.

I smiled when I approached him. He looked over like he was surprised to see me. He moved away from the horses and met me halfway.

"Elizabeth," he greeted. He still had his camp necklace on.

"Apollo," I replied. I leaned forward and hugged him. He stumbled back like he was still surprised by it. After a moment he wrapped his arms around me too.

I pulled away and wiped away the one ash mark on his cheek. "It's good to see you. Well, kind of."

"I'm glad you answered me," he replied. "I wasn't sure if it would work."

I furrowed my brow and lowered my hands. "Why not? You're a god."

The horses stamped their hooves, impatient. "I'll explain everything," he promised. "I just need to tend to my horses."

"I'll help," I offered. "I'm good with animals."

He looked a little surprised at the offer but didn't respond. He turned back to the horses. I did catch the smile that pulled on his lips. I went to the one horse and started to free him from the harness. I avoided the fiery mane and rubbed his neck. I turned and did the same to another horse. I caught Apollo catching glances every now and then as he worked at his horses. He could've snapped his fingers and had it done. Instead he struggled through the knots and belts.

I took the reins of my two horses and followed Apollo down a side hall. He opened a giant barn door to a large horse stable. My jaw dropped. Each stable was the size of Cabin Six.

"Holy Hades," I muttered.

"They were like this when I got the place," Apollo told me. He led his one horse to the first stable. "I thought about changing it but they deserve some rest after a long day."
