I had crazy eyes at the moment, my eyes twitching like crazy as the blood of my enemies was my weapon, and it also covered me from head to toe. An ax came for chest, I kicked the female soldier to the ground, spun, took the life of another sword wielder that had wind mana surrounding his blade.
The blood surrounding me deflected spells that were directed toward me, I conjured an ice spear into the female soldier's base of her skull, killing her right there on the spot. "Haha." I laughed as I kept on going, killing more, and more.
I vanished and appeared next to Sylvie who was having trouble with shield and spear users around her. I was below her neck and disrupted the cores of all the enemies within a twenty yard radius, then brought ice spears up into their chest, leaving their bodies hanging on them.
There was now no one near us at the moment, no one alive I mean, the soldiers were running at us. I felt Sylvie start to change her form, she went into her human form by my side as spells were launched at us.
"Stop, you lost control." Sylvie said as she got close to me, placing a hand on my face. A mana barrier formed around us, it was Sylvie's magic, and it deflected the attacks away. "Stay with me, Veer."
I felt my twitching eyes settle as I looked into her eyes, my mind returning. "I'm sorry." I said, leaning my head against hers. "I'm sorry." I repeated myself. "I lied." The soldiers reached us as they made their way through the dangling soldiers I had on ice spears.
The blood around me, still floating, the mana barrier still protecting us. I wave my hand, causing the soldiers in the front to explode, killing them instantly, then pushed the blood from the explosion into the soldiers behind them, piercing their armor.
"Remember, they are soldiers following orders, stay calm, sane, do whatever you have to so that you don't lose control." Sylvie said, holding my hand as the enemy began to rush us again.
"I will." I told her, pulling away from her, mana arrows formed in front of me, and I surrounded Sylvie's spell with blood, ice, and wind, and then she shot them through the force as I deactivated their cores as well, so no shield could save anyone.
We stood side by side. "Go, I'll get your back." Sylvie assured me and added. "You can still give them hell, just control yourself."
I launched into the force, swinging my blade through the first man, impaling another with an ice spear, keeping myself sane by thinking of Sylvie, not on what I have to do. Arrows formed with Sylvie's magic started darting around me, killing the enemies I didn't get to.
I released the blood sword, letting it float around me, conjuring two ice daggers in my hands. I threw one in the eye socket of a soldier, spun slit the throat of another, conjured another dagger, placed it inside another soldier, and just started to go to town, killing them without trying to enjoy it so much, but I did a little still.
I could feel that our whole force was now on the ground, only one thousand and two hundred left, six hundred had already died, but then again, two thousand of them had died, leaving three thousand more.
A spear came for my face, I back stepped and leaned over, as the spear went over my head. I shot wind out of my feet, spinning around the spear, and placing the dagger into the man's throat. I threw the other, killing another soldier, the blood rain still ripping through them one by one.
I felt something come out from the ground and it tried to grip my ankle, but I froze the earth below me so it couldn't. That's when another corrosive arrow collided with my arm, getting past my blood shield, it entered, then exited the back of my arm, but where it touched, it started to burn, and even using blood magic to close the wounds, the burning effect lingered, hurting, making it hard to move my arm at all.
