It made me happy that they thought meeting me was so cool, I was a mere child, but a child with insane abilities. To most by now, I am the person who defeated a company of Alacryans by himself, and took down a Retainer, they all loved me, I gave them hope that we could actually win this war.

I turned the corner and froze when I saw the person I was looking for, a smile crossed my face.

Standing there, speaking to a guard, in their white uniform was one of my favorite people, and as she turned to me, her eyes widened in joy. "Veer!" She exclaimed, and departed from the guard she was talking too.

"Aya." I took a couple steps toward her, but she made it to me first, and hugged me. "It's so good to see you."

I embraced her hug, knowing that she truly did care for me, like a younger brother. "Veer, you need to stop facing off against these strong foes." She pushed me away, and then held my cheeks. "Are you okay? And don't you think about lying to me!"

"I'm fine, Aya." I said, grabbing her arms. "You don't need to worry."

"I'll worry if I want to, I heard Arthur and you fought a Scythe, the King and Queen just informed me." She really did seem worried. "What type of injuries do you have?"

I held my one arm out. "I broke this arm." I then lifted my leg. "And I broke this leg." Her eyes widened as she examined me. "I'm okay now, I'm all healed up, just need to rest for a little."

"Should you even be up and walking right now?" I shrugged, taking her hand off my face, and backed away. "Veer, come on, you shouldn't be up and about."

"I was just running in the training hall." I told her. "Fiona, the person who has been in charge of my rehab says it's important to be moving, at least a little."

"Oh, well, you should still rest."

"I wanted to see you; I had an idea I wanted to try out." I activated "Blood Oath" without her knowing.

"I could have come to you, there was no reason to come see me here." Aya smiled. "I was coming up anyways." She placed a hand on my shoulder, and motioned for me to walk back the way I came from. "Come on, we can walk back together."

"Alright." I said, reaching into her core, and looking for the artifact that was bestowed upon her, I wanted to see if I could remove the limiter Kezess put on it with aether, I didn't know if it was possible with blood magic alone, but it was worth a try. "Where were you?"

"The Forest of Elshire." A place I haven't been to yet, I know in the future I'll have to go there when they make their advances on the Kingdom, that is unless I stop that from happening. "I was helping set up the defenses."

"I see, and how did that go." I couldn't wait to fight alongside Aya, it was going to be so much fun, Arthur, Sylvie, Aya, and me, that's a pretty dangerous team, I wouldn't want to fight us.

"Good, they are still working on it, but I wasn't needed anymore." Aya removed her hand, and then continued to speak. "Tell me about this Scythe, I want to know what type of abilities they had."

"He was pretty powerful." I said, looking up at her. "He had this fire called soulfire, which was able to eat away at mana, not burn things."

"Really?"

"Yeah, he used it to remove my water mana I managed to get inside of him." I really didn't think about that, I'll admit, Cadell out played me there. "He also was able to transform his body into gas, which was cool."

"Haha, cool you say." Aya laughed at me. "How were you able to hit him if he was able to become gas?"

"We really couldn't."
