(One Week Later)

It's been a grind down here in the Sand Grotto, still no sign of the mutant, I believe it was hiding itself within an army of other mana beast. I could sense the presence of a lot more mana beast that we haven't taken care of yet.

We've been going on raids constantly every day, but we come across the same things, just Esene in large numbers. They are so weak, so slaughtering them was easy, and brought me joy. I did sense a more powerful beast at one moment, I lost track of it during a fight, and couldn't find it again.

I've been bonding with Callias a lot recently. He may be fifth-teen years older than me, but he is always nice to me and very supportive. That's the same way with everyone though. I was a boy, however, they treated me more and more like a fellow soldier every day.

"You ready?" Helen asked me, as I stood there motionless, contemplating everything. "Are you alright?" She put a hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah, I'm fine Helen, I was just thinking." I swung my cloak around me and swung the hood up. I then placed my blood stained mask on and turned to her.

"What were you thinking about?" She asked as we turned toward our two teams.

"Nothing serious." I told her honestly. "I was preparing myself for today, sooner or later a team will find something."

"You're right, I hope that's soon, I'm getting tired of walking in the stand." Helen laughed, and I did as well. "It's good to see you laugh once and a while, makes me feel better about what's going on." She moved her hand to my head.

"Helen, you know I am fine." I felt for my sword in my mana ring, getting ready to fight in the dungeon. "I'm getting use to everything, you know that."

"I was just checking up on you." She continued to smile. "Let's go, they're waiting for us." We made our way to everyone, and Helen got in front. "We go deeper today, prepare yourselves."

Callias nudged me. "Let's make it quick today." I nodded my head.

Helen continued. "Our team is the leading party at the moment, we were classified as the strongest force since we have been clearing rooms left and right." She turned to me. "That's of course thanks to Veer, but he won't be able to protect us forever." Yeah, I rather not protect them, I would rather wipe the army of Esene off the board myself.

"So, no one has been where we are going?" Angela asked, I'm pretty sure that's been the case this whole time, but this time we are going insanely deep into the dungeon.

"Yes, precisely." Helen answered. "We'll be fine, just look at it as a normal day." Everyone nodded their heads. I cracked my neck and got ready to fight, there's going to be a new mana beast here today, I could feel it for some reason. "Move out." Helen ordered and we all followed her into the portal.

As we went through, we got into formation, Adam, Jasmine, Callias, and me in the front, guarding the conjurers from the mana beast, so they could launch spells at the ones in the back.

I was now leading the group with Adam on my side, we could see the cavern up ahead, and I activated "Blood Oath" and sensed over two hundred mana beasts inside already, and more close by for some reason. It could be a trap or just mana beast gathering together, it should be fun.

We entered, and they all turned to us, sand dropping from their disgusting faces. "Yuck." Callias said. "It's good we are here to kill them, because who wants to live like that." I have to agree with him on that.

I pointed my hand out, and my elven sword appeared in my hand. Let's enjoy this moment, I coalesced blue fire over my entire body and sword. Callias did the same with his normal fire, and we went to work.
