Arthur, Sylvie, Ellie, and I were standing in front of our parents, saying our goodbyes in the teleportation room. This truly did suck, I didn't want them to join the war, I had no clue what my existence may change. I saved Adam's life, that could mean someone else dies in his place.

"I still think you guys joining the war is a bad idea." Arthur told them. "There is no reason for you to fight, what about Ellie and Veer, they need you."

"Arthur, we've already decided, you should know why we need to do this." My father stepped up and placed a hand on his shoulder. "We will be fine, and they will be too."

I walked up to my mom and hugged her. "Don't do anything too dangerous, stick to little things to help out."

"We'll try." She told me as she embraced my hug. "Same applies to you, Veer, you may be strong, but it doesn't make you invincible."

"I know." I told her as I backed away. "But most of the stuff I'll be doing is going to be dangerous."

"That is not what you say to your mother as she is about to leave." My mom shook her head looking at me with a smile.

I could see that Arthur still disapproved. "I'm going to miss you." Ellie hugged my mother next. "Everyone is joining the war except for me."

"You are too young, and you know it." Arthur spoke up. "Hopefully, the war will be over before you are old enough."

"I hope." My father chimed in. "We should get going, Helen is waiting for us." He turned to me and said. "Come here, Veer."

I walked over to my father and hugged him. "Don't do anything stupid."

"I won't." He then whispered in my ear. "Make sure Arthur is okay." I backed away and gave him a nod. "Arthur, make sure they behave, I don't care if he is a Lance, you are still his older brother."

"I will." Arthur said as I stood beside him, still wearing the outfit from the speech. "Be safe."

"You too." My father shot back at him. "Ellie, don't cry." I noticed a tear mark on my sister's face.

Ellie walked up to my dad and hugged him. "Please don't die." She said as they hugged.

"I won't." He told her as they continued to hug. "Make sure to keep an eye on your brothers." The two separated, and the two of them gave us all meaningful looks.

"We love you three, we'll see each other again." My mother sent us a warm smile, as she waved us goodbye.

"Love you." Ellie and I said as they entered the teleportation gate.

"This sucks." Ellie said, wiping away a tear. "Everyone is going to be gone, and I am going to be stuck inside of this castle."

"It's for your safety." Arthur told her, as we walked out of the teleportation room. "I would have Veer stay here as well, but that won't happen."

"You bet it won't."

After a couple minutes of silence, we all gathered our thoughts with everything going on. Arthur was the one to break the mold.

"Ellie, you'll get stronger, just give it time." Arthur assured her. "Now, I don't know about you Veer, but I need to change out of these clothes."

"Yeah, I'm with you." We turned down the hall where our rooms were.

"Take some time to rest up, it's been a long day." Arthur told me as he stopped in front of his door. "We will talk later inside the council room, and El, I know it's hard, but for now, just focus on training."

"Fine."

Arthur entered his room with Sylvie, and Ellie and I walked up to our rooms. "Veer, you look ridiculous." Ellie shook her head as she entered her room with a smile.
