"Alexia Hannah Valmorida." Basa ko sa nakasulat sa lapida.

"It's been a while, mom. Did you miss me?" Tanong ko kahit na alam ko sa sarili na hindi ako nito sasagutin. I softly touch my mom's tombstone, I look at the flowers I bought on the way.

"I bought your favorite flowers- Tulips." Mahinahon kong inilagay ang bulaklak sa magkabilang vase na nakalagay sa bawat gilid ng tombstone.

"I miss you so much, Mom. You know Mom, Dad... is engaged with another woman, her name's Claudette, sabi ni Kuya Livan. Well, I'm not sure." I laughed awkwardly, inilabas ko ang clean cloth sa shoulder bag ko at pinunasan ang lapida.

"Hindi ko alam ang gagawin Mom. I already told Kuya Livan that I'll give my blessings to Dad and tita Claudette, but... I don't know..." I trailed off and sighed.

"Give me a sign, Mom. Nakakalito, ehh, ever since you left us-our family's light started to fade every passing time." Totoo naman kasi, ever since my mom died, our family just suddenly disconnected. To be honest, it was like this simula ng magkaisip ako. However, it wasn't this worse. We lack communication, just like Nay Hera told me. But I refuse to talk to them, I don't know why, but I know for sure this is still anger inside my heart.

"Shoul I accept the new light that wants to enter our life?" Tanong ko at agad na napakagat sa labi, pinipigilang umiyak.

Ilang oras akong nanatili sa sementeryo bago naisipang umuwi na pabalik ng mansion.

"Bye for now, Mom, I'll visit you again. I promise." Paalam ko sa mahinang tono.

Habang naglalakad ako patungo kung saan si Kuya Ramon ay may narinig akong naguusap. Aksidenteng narinig ko ang pinaguusapan nila.

"Let someone enter your life once again." A sentence that made me shiver.

"What if I'm not ready yet?" Tanong naman ng isang babae.

"Then don't force yourself yet. Time will come, and eventually, you'll let someone enter your life without even knowing it." The way she said it was cold yet comforting.

Hindi ko na tiningnan ang naguusap at nagmamadali sa paglalakad. Kuya Ramon was standing outside the car.

"Kuya Ramon, let's go." Simula ko ng makalapit ako sa kanya.

Natataranta namang pumasok agad sa loob ng kotse si Kuya Ramon. Tahimik lang ako habang nasa byahe, nakatingin sa labas ng kotse... pinagmamasdan ang kapaligiran.

I'm musing while on the road but got interrupted when we arrived at the mansion. Huminto siya sa harap ng main entrance, nagpasalamat muna ako kay Kuya Ramon bago ko buksan ang pintong kotsesaka lumabas

I took a deep breath before entering the mansion. The man with Dad earlier was nowhere to be seen, I guess it already left before I could return.

"Nandito ka na pala, Hija." I look back when I heard manang hera's voice. "Kala ko talaga nung una ay umuwi ka na, buti na lang at nasabi sa akin ni Madam Claudette na lalabas ka lang." Manang Hera's face looks relieved as she was speaking.

I looked around the mansion before I answered Manang Hera. "Sorry Nay kung hindi na ako nakapagpaalam, nagmamadali kasi ako."

The truth is I forgot. All I was thinking about was visiting my mom's grave.

"Ganun ba, asan ka ba nagpunta?"

"Mom's grave..." I trailed off, she look at me with meaningful eyes. "I just missed her so much, that's why I decided to visit her." dugtong ko kaagad.
