Chapter 29
.
"Ano lulutuin mo?" Tanong ko sa kanya ng makarating kami sa loob ng condo niya.
"Something nice." He answered while taking the ingredients out of the plastic bag.
Hindi ko alam kung ano but I'm guessing that it's a healthy meal because he bought a lot of vegetables from the market.
When he was done taking out the ingredients, I offered him my help, but he refused and told me to sit down. Ponanood ko siyang magluto, sa pag-chop ng tomatoes, mushrooms, zucchini, and golden beets in a thin slice.
He looked so frickin' hot. What a perfect husband material, I smiled at that thought while admiring him. It's my first time seeing him cook and dinagdag pang ako ang ponagluluto niya.
After a while ay natapos din mga niluto niya, he arranged it in an orderly manner in a deep circular bowl which I didn't expect.
He first placed the roasted cauliflower, right next to it were the golden beets, then the zucchini on the side of the plate, then one small bowl of red rice, and at the front were the fried mushrooms and last but not the least he put the cherry tomatoes on top and mustard. When he finished doing the same thing he did to the other bowl.
He passed it on to me and gave me a spoon and fork. Nang makaupo na siya ay sabay na naming kinain ang niluto niya.
"Hmm!" I didn't even notice that I moaned because of how delicate and dainty the dish was.
I gently covered my mouth using my other hand. I heard him chuckle which made my cheeks red as the cherry tomatoes on my bowl.
"A-Ang sarap." I stuttered, still embarrassed from earlier.
"Thanks." He shortly replied with a smile all over his handsome face.
After finishing, we stayed a bit longer in his condo, planning out things that we'd do next and about the party he'd be attending. One of their business partner's son is hosting an engagement party, and Zak is invited. He was told to bring his girlfriend, which is me!
"When is the party?" Tanong ko sa kanya.
"Tomorrow, it's an evening party and I already bought you some clothes, shoes, and accessories so you don't need to worry about what you'll wear tomorrow." Saad nito, "and by the way, your timing earlier in the office was good." Dagdag nito na ikinangiti ko. I know right!
I'm thankful because I don't have much time to look for a dress! I'll totally freak out if he didn't.
"Sweet mo naman, Love." Natatawang asar ko sa kanya.
"Call me, love tomorrow." Biglaang sabi nito na ikinagulat ko.
"H-Huh?" I blinked numerous times, processing what he blurted out.
"I-I mean, calling me with a sweet word would make them believe that what we have is real." Medyo nauutal na paliwanag nito sa akin.
Sa hindi malamang dahilan ay medyo kumirot ang puso ko. I don't why but it stings after hearing what he said. However, he does have a point kung hindi kami mag-aact katulad ng mga normal couples out there then it'll be the end of this... end of us.
I smiled forcefully. "Yeah, sure. People might get suspicious."
He averted his eyes and covered his mouth using the arms that were on the headrest of the sofa.
I don't know if I'm hallucinating or what but I saw a glimpse of a smile from him, but when I blinked the smile was not there.
I was snap back to reality when I heard my phone ring. Kinuha ko ang bag na nasa harapan ko na nakapatong sa glassed table. When I took my phone out my eyes widened in shock and when I turned it on Ate Kisha's name flashed through my screen. Damn, I forgot to tell Ate Kisha na umalis ako sa M Entertainment but what shocked me the most was the realization that it's almost three pm!
