As he focuses the last of his energy on making it up the stairs, his neck jerks to the side without him realising and he holds onto the railing so he doesn't trip, muttering out a "fuck". If he wasn't so deflated he would have been able to stop that odd twitch. He enters his dorm and locks the door, flopping onto his bed and hugging his secret stuffed duck. His mother said not to trust real people but she hadn't said anything on the limitations with a stuffed animal so he might as well use it.
Faint knocks can be heard, knocks of wood. Banging? Bakugo's eyes flutter open as he hears a loud knock at the door with someone calling "Bakubro!" Shitty hair, Bakugo realised and he quickly got up and nearly slipped on the covers as they fell down. He cussed a few good times before unlocking the door and opening it and being brought into a hug. The sudden touch causes the blonde to physically shiver. Despite the redhead taking no notice of it, he's shoved off in pure embarrassment. "Okay idiot, I got it. Ya missed me."
"Damn right bro! One week is just too long." He chuckled while Bakugo rolled his eyes.
Yep, this was insanely normal for their friendship. If Bakugo was honest he would admit he didn't mind it at all but his lips remain sealed. Surely Kirishima will betray him one day so if he's closed off then it'll be easier to handle on such a day. He would pat himself on the back if he was alone right now, rightful thinking.
The two chatted a little longer before they had to part so they could get ready for school. Aizawa takes the register before going through a few notices for the new term. Bakugo wasn't too interested, fiddling with a pen in hand. He felt uncomfortable staying still in place and wanted to shake it off like a dog but that would just cause unnecessary attention so instead he sat still and let his mind wander. His mind wandered to what his mother said when he fucked up on Friday... insults and disappointment. Can't he ever just make her proud? Why does he always have to let her down? He didn't notice so when he looked down it was a surprise. His pen had dug hard into his other hand and there were blotches of ink on top. No blood that he was aware of, and it didn't necessarily hurt. He shrugs to himself and Aizawa calls out his name.
"Bakugo.""What?" He snarked back, keeping up his confidence.
"If you were concentrating then I'm sure you can tell me what is due this Friday."
Bakugo mumbles a bit, having no clue and Aizawa's assumptions are confirmed. The blonde was indeed not paying attention.
He reminds the importance of concentrating and Bakugo rolls his eyes. This was the least of his worries. Some shitty little notices wouldn't do shit.

The day wasn't bad but far from good, it was long and unmemorable. Apart from Mineta being kicked out the class for muttering a slur too loud or Kirishima failing his maths homework. That idiot needed to improve on it and Bakugo knew that he would have to help him with that.
