Bakugo scoffed and dreaded the wait until his teacher finally arrived. He really was in the shit now. Aizawa didn't look angry but he did seem disturbed, which may have been just as bad. Bakugo's neck felt itchy and as if it needed to twitch but he gripped his teeth and held on, that's the last thing he should do. The fuzziness went up his neck, twisted around and made it hard to concentrate but when his homeroom teacher spoke it did provide some sort of distraction.

"Bakugo, what's the last thing you remember?"

"Careful, it could be a trap."

"Uhh, don't really know." The blonde lied, trying to keep out of trouble. There's a chance he doesn't know so why blow it?

"Alright, problem child." He sits down on a seat, it creaks as he sits upright, facing the blonde. He takes a deep breath and begins a difficult conversation for the two of them. Recovery Girl leaves them some privacy. Whether Bakugo prefers it is questionable. "I'll explain what happened first of all. A few students from our class contacted me saying you were injured and I saw you with deep wounds within your legs, bleeding out. If I didn't come so quickly, it may have been a fatal outcome."

Bakugo swallowed, fuck... he didn't even realise his arm jerked around he was just broken. Hearing it out of someone else, his teacher made him feel suffocated in realisation of how bad things really were. Everything about him being strong was over and chances of being the best blown, how could a pathetic person like that be dependable?

Aizawa continued, attentively watching the blonde's reaction. "There were rumours on what caused it but from what I found in your room I am to assume it was self-mutilation. Additionally, you've been recovering here for two days and seem well enough to leave..."

"But..." Bakugo adds, knowing that there is absolutely no way it can be that easy for him. If only.

"But, we need to assess your mental health. I know you've been through some stuff kiddo but I didn't think... it would be to this level."

"It's not just because of that." Bakugo averted eyes, looking at the cupboards to the side.

Aizawa nodded. "The students care about you a lot. It is clear how worried they are. Even in lessons it was very quiet as multiple people struggled. I didn't teach anything new so you don't have to worry about catching up."

"Thanks Sensei."

"Mhm, but I'm sure you know that as a part of safeguarding at UA I can't leave you unattended. However, you can have a student with you instead if that's preferred.

He groaned, how embarrassing. He needs to be watched like a baby. "We should choose a student who's likely to let us do what we want." Bakugo considered it a good idea and he could make sure he didn't hurt himself too much either. But who would be the right person for this? After going through some consideration even he was shocked at the answer he chose.

"I'll stick with Mineta then."

Aizawa raised an eyebrow. "I've never seen you two get along."

He shrugs. "Dunno, just having someone who doesn't know me as well feels easier."

His teacher stands up. "I'll escort you to class while I finish the lesson as they're waiting and then we can go from there. But please, you can always talk to me. I may be a teacher but you're one of my highest achieving students and no one deserves to carry burdens alone. So if you need time, find me."

They walked together and reached the door. Suddenly, Bakugo felt anxious and didn't want to go in. The attention wasn't the best thing to have right now. Especially, when most have got the hint he self harms. He stopped and stared at the door, Aizawa understood.

"Nervous, huh?" His teacher asked.

Bakugo frowned and looked downwards, not wanting to agree.

"It's alright kid, just come with me and I'll make sure no one asks anything."

He trusted his teacher and decided to be strong for him as he's helped a lot. Aizawa waited a few seconds and then opened the door, Bakugo took a deep breath and followed from behind, stumbling over to his seat. A few students called out his name but Aizawa was quick to diffuse.

"The lesson isn't over yet."

A few of the students groaned.

"Or would you rather we did this part after school?" No one made a noise. "Right, so completing the square."

Bakugo looked at the board and partly understood it. He has been in the lessons before but he was not concentrating as much back then so he might as well focus now.

It was a good idea as he picked up a few things he hadn't noticed in previous lessons, he almost wanted to smile because it felt good to him when he understood difficult maths equations. But that feeling ended shortly when Aizawa called out for the class to pack up.

Scraping chairs and chatter while everyone quickly packed up, Bakugo waited. He didn't have his bag so there was no point moving.

Midoriya sat behind his childhood friend and felt waves of regret and sympathy towards the stubborn blonde. He suspected he could have been self harming but no one could ever predict such a thing to happen so suddenly. The extreme escalation from a pen to thighs carved... the graphic image made home in his mind and it was truly sickening. At one point he even considered his friend dead and fell apart. He's grateful to Aizawa for informing them quickly of Kacchan being okay otherwise he would have become a wreck. More of a wreck than now. First he felt grief and extreme distress over his friend but when he felt more in control, Midoriya promised to be there for his friend now that the signs were there - painted in his blood.

He was about to get Bakugo's attention to give some reassurance but his teacher stared, almost as a warning. Midoriya understood and nodded, his teacher has got him and maybe he can message Bakugo later.

Aizawa tells everyone to leave except Bakugo and Mineta. The class were curious but firstly didn't want to anger their teacher by prying and secondly, it was likely Mineta did something stupid again. Speaking of, Mineta was moaning on his seat. "What did I do this time?!"
