Ships: Polyninja, (could be platonic)

"Ughh, I'm bored," Jay complained, dramatically flopping onto Zane's lap. The nindroid chuckled cheerfully, combing a hand through the boy's curly locks.

"All of us are bored, Bluebell," Kai responded.

"Yeah, but I'm the boredest," Jay groaned, making Zane frown.

"'Boredest' is not a word, Jay." Completely ignoring the Ice Elemental's statement, Jay changed the subject.

"Where's Cole? I haven't seen them since lunch."

"He went for a walk in the woods just after eating," Zane explained. Suddenly, Kai jumped up.

"Let's go find her, maybe we can scare him," He said excitedly, and Jay shot up in eagerly.

"Come on Zane, we're going rock-hunting!" The Lightning Elemental joked. Sighing, the nindroid stood up and followed the other two out of the momentary.

"Last one to the treeline is a rotten snake!" Kai yelled, abruptly taking off.

"Hey, no fair!" Jay responded, chasing after him. Chuckling to himself, Zane jogged after the dots of Blue and Red.

"Ha! I win, guess you're a rotten snake!" Jay teased as he touched the tree in front of him. Kai scowled as he joined Jay at the edge of the woods, before looking back at cheering up.

"Actually, Zane's the rotten snake," He argued. Zane shook their head, amused, and joined the two at the tree.

"Yes, I'm afraid I am the 'rotten snake' as you so elegantly put it," He said, stopping the argument forming.

"Whatever, let's go find Cole."

"First one to find him gets to skip chores tonight?"

"You're on, Airhead."

"I am not an airhead!"

---------------------------

Zane calmly walked through the woodlands, amused by the blurs of Blue and Red as they tried to find their black-cladded teammate.

Turning left, the nindroid came across a large meadow full of brightly coloured flowers.

He walked further across the clearing, spotting an unusual mound in the centre of the meadow. Zooming in to get a closer look, they realised it was Cole, laying on the grass with his eyes closed.

"Hello Cole," He said as they approached the Earth Elemental. Squinting, Cole looked up at Zane, smiling warmly when he realised who it was.

"Hey Frosty, what brings you out here?" Zane sat next to Cole, sticking their legs out in front of him and resting his palms slightly behind him.

"Jay and Kai wanted to sneak up on you, but that required a competition to find you first," Zane explained. Cole hummed, moving her head so it was now on Zane's lap.

"What was the prize?"

"Missing out on tonight's chores." Zane plucked a blue flower out of the ground, carefully placing it into Cole's hair. He continued doing this, picking out different coloured flowers and twirling the stalks through their companion's raven locks.

Cole leaned into Zane's cold touch, closing their eyes again and humming softly to himself.

The two stayed like for a while (26 minutes and 40 seconds, according to Zane's internal clock), before there was a loud yell from the edge of the clearing.
