Yelling filled the evening air at the Elemental Monastery. Kai and Cole were having an argument, which would be a normal occurrence, if it wasn't being blown out of proportion by both of them.

"Dude! Chill out!" Cole yelled, "It's a sparring match, you've won countless times."

"No! You didn't follow the rules!" Kai jabbed a finger at Cole's chest. "We clearly stated we were weren't going to use our powers, and you ghosted through my attack!"

"You threw a shuriken at me!" Cole responded. "I was trying not to die! Also, we were only supposed to use our normal weapons."

"Guys, maybe we should calm down?" Zane reasoned, edging towards the two.

"No, not until he admits he cheated!" Kai spat out.

"Yeah? Well I'm not saying anything until you apologise for almost killing me!" Cole fired back.

"Argh! You're so insufferable, no wonder your Mum left and got herself killed!" As the words left the Fire Elemental's lips, everyone gasped, and he clamped a hand over his mouth. But the damage was already done.

"W-what?" Cole was tearing up, a hurt expression on his face. Kai stepped forward, but he backed away from him.

"C-cole, I d-didn't mean that. I-I swear!" Cole rubbed his eyes, tears staining his sleeves as he shook hysterically.

"N-no, I u-understand. I-'ll just take my insufferableness aw-ay from y-you. Wouldn't wan-t anyone else g-getting killed b-because of m-me."

Cole started moving towards the courtyard gates, which had been left ajar by accident.

"No Cole, you know how Kai gets. Don't go!" Jay cried out, but Cole just let out a stifled sob and ran through the gates. His dragon was summoned, and before anyone could get out the courtyard, he was gone. "Cole!"

Nya whipped around, angry tears falling down her face.

"Why would you say that?! That's low, even for you, Kai Smith!" She ran inside, followed by Jay, who was giving Kai the worst death stare in history.

"Come on Lloyd, let's check on those two," Zane told the younger boy, who was staring at his brother with a heart-breaking amount of disbelief on his eyes.

Reaching Ninjago City, Cole dispersed his dragon, opting to walk along the dark empty streets instead. The tears in his eyes were flowing at a much slower right, but they weren't going to stop anytime soon.

"Why w-would he s-say something that?" He muttered to himself. He continued through the city, not noticing the van driving closer and closer to him.

Silently, the door slid open, and someone slipped out, creeping up to the distraught elemental. As they reached him, Cole sensed someone behind him. Before he caught turn around, however, someone hit him over the head, knocking him out.

The van stopped, and his unconscious body was dragged into the vehicle. The figure picked up a phone and dialled a number.

"We've got the Earth Ninja, he's the one you wanted right?"

"Yes good job. Now bring him back."

"Is he still not back yet?" Lloyd asked Zane, who was sitting by the kitchen window with Jay. The nindroid shook his head, still focused on keeping an eye on the upset Blue Ninja.
