Chapter 9

The next day the Plantars and Y/N were in the living room doing their own things. Hop Pop was reading a book, Sprig was tossing Polly up in the air while she was laughing, and Y/N was on the floor drinking cherry flavored cola, watching videos on his phone, and was petting Kuku.

Everyone then heard Anne screaming from the basement as she kicked the door basement door open holding her phone.

Anne: "Guys, guys, guys, guys, look!"

We then looked at her phone.

Polly: "What are we looking at?"

Anne: "Suspicion Island, it's like my favorite show. I've got the new season and didn't even know it. It must have auto-download before I got here."

Y/N: "Suspicious Island? Hard pass. I'm more of a Sci-fi, action, or romance kind of guy."

Sprig: "Who's this Otto?"

Polly: "And how did you download him?"

Anne: "Just watch." She then played the trailer for the show to us.

Hop Pop: "What is this demonic nonsense?"

Anne: "Hop Pop, this show's got beautiful people doing dumb things while stuff explodes. It's literally perfect."

Sprig: "Awesome!"

Polly: "Let's do it!"

Hop Pop: "Now hold on! Instead of that garbage, how about I treat you to some real entertainment."

Sprig and Polly: "Oh no..."

Hop Pop pulled out a sheet of paper from his pocket. "A scene from the Shadow Pond." He then cleared his throat.

Hop Pop: "Sadness, the world is sadness. But look there, a pond! Is it deep or shallow?"

Y/N started lightly clapping his hands because he's nice like that.

Anne, Sprig, and Polly: "Suspicion Island! Suspicion Island! Suspicion Island!"

Hop Pop: "Okay fine!"

They all cheered except for Hop Pop and Y/N.

Y/N: "If you need me, I'll be in the kitchen with Kuku to watch Swat Kats: The Radical Squadron. Then watch Swat Kats: Revolution." He said walking towards the kitchen.

Hop Pop then turned his attention back to the others. "But just one!"

It was late a night at night and Y/N finished rewatching the seasons to the shows and walked to the living room and saw everyone still watching the show.

Anne: "That's enough for tonight."

Sprig: "As c'mon!"

Polly: "This is torture!"

Anne: "Trust me guys, you gotta pace yourself with this stuff."

Y/N: "She's right. One time I was watching a movie marathon until morning and I got a D- on my test that day."

Hop Pop: "Alright, you two grubs off to bed."

Polly and Sprig groaned and fell off the couch.

Y/N: "Dramatic much?"

Sprig: "How am I supposed to sleep without knowing what happened to Vivica and Chad?"

Polly: "Stupid sleep, I wanna watch it right now!"

Anne: "So...what do you think Hop Pop? Better than that boring stuff you read to us right?"

Hop Pop: "That "boring stuff" is called literature Anne." He said walking to his room. "And maybe if you had an ounce of culture, you wouldn't reject it in favor of substandard puerile garbage show!" He then slamed his bedroom door shut.
