It was a beautiful morning in Wartwood where everyone was doing their own thing. Anne, Sprig, Polly, and Y/N were walking around town when Felicia walked up to them with a smile on her face.
Felicia: "Hi, Sprig. Thanks for your help in the tea shop the other day."
Sprig: "No problem, Felicia. I had a tea-rrific time."
Felicia: "Oh, come here, you little charmer." She squishes Sprig's face, making him laugh. "Oh, look at you. Okay, bye."
Sprig: "All right, see ya."
The Plantar kids continued their walk through the town. The townsfolk said their hello to Sprig.
Jerry: "Hiya, Sprig."
Sprig: "Heya, Jerry."
Patrick: "Top of the morning to you, Sprig."
Sprig: "Looking good, Patrick."
Ferraiolo: "Buongiorno, Sprig."
Sprig: "Hey, all right!"
Anne: "Wow. People around here seem to like Sprig."
Polly: "Yep, he's always been something of a town favorite. Those big eyes and goofy grin are hard to resist."
The four heard a honking sound off in the distance until it got closer to reveal Mrs. Croaker on her ladybug about to pass them.
Sprig: "Hey hey! Here comes Mrs. Croaker! Hi, Mrs. Croaker!" He waved his hand.
Mrs. Croaker zoomed past Sprig, leaving him confused. She instead decided to stop next to Anne, Polly, and Y/N.
Sprig: "Heh. This thing broken?" He looked at his hand.
Anne and Polly: Hi, Mrs. Croaker!"
Mrs. Croaker: "Well, hello, Anne. Polly." She poked Polly, making her giggle.
Mrs. Croaker: "How are you Y/N?" She asked while putting her hand out.
Y/N: "Pretty great, thank you for asking." They both shook their hands as their grips tightened. Eventually they both let go.
Mrs. Croaker: "Anywho, I have some grocery shopping to do. By kids."
Mrs. Crocker zoomed away on her ladybug as Sprig ran over.
Sprig: "Hi, Mrs. Croa…ker…? That was weird. Guys, you aren't gonna believe this, but… I don't think Mrs. Croaker likes me!"
Anne: "Huh. So what do you think Hop Pop's making for dinner tonight?"
Y/N: "Don't know, but I'm making dessert."
Sprig: "How could she not like me? I'm Sprig. The fun Plantar!"
Anne patted Sprig's shoulder: "Don't worry about it, dude. It's okay if one person doesn't like you."
Y/N: "Mm-hmm. There's lots of people back home who don't like me."
Sprig: "You know what, Anne and Y/N, you're right. This is not okay."
Anne's "That's literally the opposite of what we've just said."
Sprig: "Looks like it's time to crank the charm on this widow."
He then followed Mrs. Croaker to Grub and Go. He saw her preparing to leave the store with her groceries so he held the door open for her.
Sprig: "After you, m'lady." Mrs. Croaker walked past him without saying a word. "What?"
Male Frog: "Oh, hey. Thanks so much-"
Sprig closed the door and tried to help Mrs. Croaker load her groceries onto her ladybug.
Sprig: "Wait. Uh, let me help you with that." He struggled to get the bag from her. Mrs. Croaker then threw him to the side and got on her ladybug and rode off. Leaving Sprig in the dust reaching out for her.
