"what?! no!" you yell out immediately. "y/n, i'm sorry but we don't have a choice." she sadly says. "what do you mean?!" you cry.

"we can't afford it here anymore. your father is offering to let us stay in the united states with him where he can help us." she explains.

and with that, you felt your whole word crumble. you don't know what came over you, but you immediately ran out of the house.

"Y/N!"

you ran to tom and bill's house, seeing the one person you wanted to see outside of his house, sitting on the porch.

tears brimmed in your eyes and fell down your cheeks as you ran up to his house. "y/n?!" bill said, confused.

"bill!" you cried, hugging him. "y/n, what's wrong?" he asks, his dark eyes showing concern for you.

you sobbed for a second until you could finally answer,

"i'm moving."

surprise showed in his eyes, and he felt a deep pang in his chest.

"w-what do you mean?" he stuttered. "we can't afford it here anymore. i'm moving to the united states." you cried.

and with that, he broke down. he wasn't losing just another friend. he was losing the person he had been best friends with for the past 11 years of his life, the only person that has truly been there for him besides his twin.

"Y/N!"

you looked up at bill and he gave you the same, teary-eyed look. you don't know what happened, but you were both soon leaning in.

it was a quick kiss, but one that held true emotion for both of you. years of built up love and cherish for him poured out of you.

"Y/N GET BACK HERE!"

you and bill exchange one last sad look before you run home, spending the very last night in your childhood home.

as the morning came by, your mother had already packed everything that mattered. the rest was simply left behind.

you were devastated. nothing could've prepared you for this. you didn't want to imagine the looks on tom, gustav, and georg's faces when they find out. that's the one thing you dreaded.

bill's reaction had already shattered you. you didn't know how to react, all you could do was cry.

you knew bill was the one person you would miss beyond words. you two had always had a stronger bond than anyone, you were inseparable.

"y/n, it's time."

you sulk out of your room, now old room, it seemed to gloomy to you now.

you walk out of the house, only to immediately be greeted by your four friends.

"y/n, what's going on?!" tom exclaims. "i'm sorry... i don't want to." you cry.

"i'm gonna miss you so much." tom immediately hugs you and begins to cry. "will you come back?" he sniffles. "i don't know..." you whisper.

you look at bill, who seems lost.

"alright, group hug everyone." georg says. all five of you huddle into a group hug. this is the very last time you'll feel the comfort your friends brought you. the last time you'll laugh so hard your lungs hurt. the last time you'll get to see the twins faces. the last time you get to goof off with bill and sing with him. the last time you'll have the band.

you silently cry in the circle until your mom interrupts. "we should go now, y/n. our flight is soon." she silently says.

you wipe your tears and turn around, about to leave, when bill grabs you and gives you the tightest hug.
