y/n's pov

we had just finished our performances for the movie. the director complimented us on our "chemistry" the entire time and said that we were doing amazing so far.

the movie was almost done filming, and we had about another week before they would begin to edit.

aurora didn't have much to say, it may've been either awkward or she didn't feel like saying much. but what right did she have when she had another boyfriend?

bill stood in the corner, devouring a whole bag of chips. he had been doing that for the past five minutes.

suddenly he walked over to me, placing down his chips and placing his hand on my shoulder, catching my attention.

"hey," he smiles with his teeth, "when do you wanna go?" he asks.

"i think i wanna stay around a little while longer to talk with everyone." i tell him, to which he nods to.

suddenly, as we chatted with the supporting cast, his phone pierced the air with its ringing tone. his face turned a shade paler, and his fingers fumbled to retrieve the phone from his pocket.

he gave a quick excuse before taking the call, walking away. i was curious but decided to give him some space.

i continued my conversation with the others, still slightly unsettled. it wasn't long before bill reappeared, hurrying towards me with his eyebrows furrowed, his features etched with concern.

without warning, he gently grasped my hand and pulled me aside, his voice slightly trembling. "i need to go to an important meeting," he stammered, "we need to go now."

my confusion deepened, but i refrained from pressing him for answers. i bid a quick goodbye to the cast and followed him as he rushed to the car. bill took the wheel as i got into the passengers side, accelerating swiftly.

i couldn't help but question him. "what's going on, bill?"i asked, my worry mirroring the anxiety etched across his face. "the ceo of our label called me," he explained, his voice heavy with anxiety, "he needs me at an important meeting, and i don't think it's about anything good."

i nodded, still uncertain about the situation. what could the ceo possibly want that had bill so scared?

soon, we arrived at our destination, and i decided that waiting in the quiet yet tense atmosphere of the waiting room was the best option as bill disappeared into the elevator, leaving me alone in my thoughts.

with a mix of anxiousness and uncertainty, I approached the door, pausing briefly before gently tapping my knuckles against it.

"come in!" his voice beckoned. the door swung open to reveal the company's ceo, mr. hansen.

"it's good to see you made it, bill. please, take a seat," he said, motioning towards the chair positioned across from him. i obliged, my gaze locking onto his.

"let's get straight to the point," he began. "you and aurora appear to have grown apart," he remarked.

"aurora now has a new boyfriend," i responded. "if you're concerned about our public image, perhaps you should discuss it with her, with all due respect, mr. hansen," i added, striving to maintain my composure.

a faintly amused grin graced his lips. "what about our deal? if this marks the end of your relationship, you've failed to uphold your end of the bargain," he pointed out, "keeping my daughter happy."

"mr. hansen, i did my best. she—" i began, but he cut me off by raising his hand.

"enough. you've failed to keep your promise, so i'm afraid i have to let your group go," he declared, and i felt the air escape from my lungs.
