This is set in an alternate AU where Bdubs and Impulse get away after killing Tilly, and the ending is delayed by a few (Minecraft) days due to that. Now Pearls out to kill 'em
The moon shone blood red, high above the server
Pearl sat astride her horse, surrounded by her pack. Her dogs of war. Tonight, they had one target, one death to avenge.
Bdubs had to die, and Impulse with him.
With one hand, she cupped it around her mouth and howled to the sky, listening to her wolves as they took up the call. Around the server, amongst the remaining survivors, she knew panic would be spreading. The howl was her call. Her hunting signal.
Pearl spurred her horse on, galloping towards the middle of the map, towards the Homewreckers Base. At the start of the season, it would have been suicide to go like this, with so many hostiles to kill her. Now, nobody was left. At the edge of the forest treeline, she stopped, slowing the horse and dismounting. The wolves milled around, snarling and howling. Pearl let them. Good. She thought, as she tied the horse to a tree and gave it a good-bye pat on its withers. Let them know I'm here. Here to kill them.
With one hand, she signalled to the wolves to follow her. With the other, she grabbed her axe.
And she started towards what might be her very last fight.
Also I started watching Newlife through Pearl and Timmy's povs! Maybe I'll write origin stories for them...
