Chapter 2 The Bully Hunter, The Plan, and The Shield

Slurpy hopped along alone after spending time with the other girls playing video games. It was fun to get out and have fun with them. Playing games and talking about typical girly things.

But, if there was one thing Slurpy noticed, it was that Shelly wasn't there. Slurpy knew that deep down, Popsicley hated Shelly and considered her a traitor for not thinking of her as a true friend, causing her to brand Shelly a traitor and bully her. Slurpy, Chocolatey, and Boat hated it, but their complaints fell on deaf ears as Popsicley refused to listen. It got harder and harder for the three girls to consider Popsicley a friend because of it.

Eventually, they just agreed to have Popsicley stick around but not consider her a real friend.

Slurpy hopped along before seeing Shelly limping and leaning against the trees for support. She was surprised and hopped faster towards Shelly.

"Shelly, what happened to you?!", asked Slurpy. Shelly shook her head. "Popsicley bullied me again, and I tried to run away, but I got hurt instead.", she explained. Slurpy moaned in sadness before giving Shelly a hug. "It's OK, Shelly. I am here now.", she reassured.

Shelly felt her nose running but did her best not to sniffle or start crying.

Slurpy looked into Shelly's eyes and knew she was upset. "Hey, don't worry. Chocolatey and Boat, as well as I have decided not to deal with Popsicley anymore. She is too overbearing, just like Pear and Scissors. So, you don't have to worry anymore.", she reassured Shelly. Shelly nodded.

Meanwhile, Shieldy was watching the exchange from afar. Despite being the winner of Brawl of the Objects, he couldn't help but feel like he was also responsible for Shelly's problem. He refused to let Shelly into his and Party Hat's alliance and didn't even give her a fair chance in the game when he went against her in the final challenge.

Shieldy approached Shelly and Slurpy. "What are you doing here, Shieldy?", asked Slurpy. Shieldy looked up. "I want to see if I can help Shelly with her bully problem. Maybe if I help, Popsicley will leave Shelly alone... for good.", he said with a sly grin.

Shelly shuddered. She didn't know what Shieldy meant by that, but she didn't like it. Slurpy sensed Shelly's unnerved feelings and patted her back. "Don't worry, Shelly, Shieldy is just trying to help.", she said. Shelly looked up and nodded while smiling in an unsure manner.

The trio then made their way to where Popsicley was talking with Scissors and Pear.

The three girls were gossiping and chatting with seemingly endless nonsense. Shieldy gave a sly grin. A grin full of mischievous and ankle biting vigor.

"Wait here.", he said.

And with that, Shieldy approached the three girls. He held something behind his back. Sneaking up on the girls and not wanting be heard, he cautiously approached and brought the thing behind his back to the front. Ready to pounce!

Three, two, one!

"Surprise!", called out Shieldy as he splashed water over everyone's heads using a large bucket! Slurpy and Shelly watched from afar and were surprised but quite amused.

"What the heck?!", shouted Pear! Scissors shook herself dry. "Shieldy, what is the meaning of this?", she asked. Then, Popsicley turned around, with a solid glare on her face. "You better have a good explanation for this!", she threatened.

Shieldy held his ground, not intimidated in the slightest. "You bet I have a good explanation! You have bullying Shelly non-stop. I don't take kindly to others bullying anyone! You drove me to this!", he shouted before stomping away.

Slurpy couldn't help but giggle. Shelly felt sorry for the three girls but still felt like Popsicley learned her lesson and needed to learn the hard way.

This made poor Shelly feel very conflicted.

Shieldy returned to Slurpy and Shelly.

"Well, that was something. But, I am glad we got that straightened out.", he said.

Slurpy nodded. Shelly felt conflicted but couldn't help but nod as well.

Slurpy decided to make her way to Chocolatey and Boat as she needed to tell them what had happened.

This left Shelly alone with Shieldy.

"So, Shelly. Is there anything else that is bothering you?", asked Shieldy.

Shelly was taken aback. There was something she wanted to tell someone for a while now. Well, more like ask. But, she didn't know of this was the right time to finally say it.

Shelly sighed. "You know, I have been thinking. Remember that one contestant that Controlly revealed to everyone? The one who drowned and froze?", she asked. Shieldy paused and thought for a moment. "Yeah, I guess so.", he replied, not sure where this question was going to lead the conversation.

"Well, I want to see if we could find out... more about this mystery contestant. Who he is. And... well..., what happened... to... him... I guess...", Shelly trailed off as she was quite unnerved and quite nervous about saying and talking about this contestant.

Shieldy pondered what Shelly had told him. "I think I understand what you are trying to say.", he replied. "You want to go and see this contestant for yourself and... UNFREEZE him...", he said with a mischievous smile and tone of voice.

"Whoa, WHAT?! Oh, no! I didn't mean that! I just meant I wanted to learn more about the contestant, not to unfreeze the contestant!", she exclaimed in protest.

Shieldy simply shook his head. "Come on, Shelly, wake up and smell the coffee! That object had been frozen for who knows how long. Besides, if he was in the Dream Land after drowning then, that means he could still be alive in a sense, which means we can revive him after we unfreeze him.", he explained to Shelly. But, Shelly was still not convinced.

"But Shieldy, that object is an important piece of history! I don't think the world will like it if two mischievous objects like us were to carelessly unfreeze him for their own benefit.", she countered. Shieldy nodded in agreement. Before he got another epiphany. "But, Shelly, if we unfreeze him and then revive him, just think how popular the object will be and in turn, how famous that would make us!", he explained.

Shelly sighed. "Well, OK. I guess. I just hope we don't get into trouble for this...", she said.

Shieldy shook his head. "I highly doubt that.", he said. "Come on, we got a contestant to unfreeze!"

Shelly and Shieldy made their way to where the frozen Rook was kept.

Little did they know that they were on their way to change their lives.
