Stonehaven. A sanctuary for the pack to run, hunt, and just be free. However it was also a place with a lot of rules and a lot of regulations. All members of the pack had to follow the pack rules and they were enforced by the alpha. Anyone to stand in the way of those rules wolf or otherwise were deemed unfit to be in the pack. One rule in particular is going to affect Nick and I. The rule states that any child born into pack life had to be raised at Stonehaven. It's been this way for as long as the pack existed and it wasn't going to change for Nick and I but that's where we were headed.
"Babe, everything is going to be okay." Nick assured me with a slight squeeze of my hand.
"I know but I remember what the pack law says. Any male that is born from at least one werewolf parent must be raised at the pack home. This one being Stonehaven." I reminded him.
"I know that I studied those laws growing up but how do you remember all of them?" Nick asked.
"I have photographic memory, had it forever. Back to the subject, do you really think Jeremy will let us raise our child away from the pack home?" I questioned.
"Probably not but if that's the case then we will deal with it. We are going to be a family no matter where we are." Nick said.
I sighed. The rest of the car ride was silent and Jeremy didn't even know we were coming home. We pulled up through the gates and walked towards the house. I stepped inside to be greeted by Jeremy. Hugs between all of us were exchanged. Jeremy's face was etched with surprise. Elena came downstairs shortly after we walked in. We hugged and she hugged Nick as well.
"What are you doing here?" Elena asked.
"We have news." I admitted.
"Let's sit." Nick urged.
"Of course." Jeremy agreed walking into the living room.
We all sat down Nick and I across from Jeremy with Elena next to him.
"What's the news?" Jeremy questioned calmly.
"I'm pregnant." I said.
"Really?" Elena asked with excitement.
"Yeah." I said.
"We came back here to make sure everything was alright with the baby since a female werewolf has not been pregnant before." Nick explained.
"I see." Jeremy said coming over to me.
He gently placed his hand over my stomach. Jeremy had a weird ability to focus his hearing in places the rest of us couldn't.
"I will have to get some equipment to make sure but I believe you are having twins." Jeremy said.
There were several minutes of silence between us all. Jeremy and Elena dared not speak.
"Twins?" Nick inquired with tears in his eyes.
"I'm pretty sure yes." Jeremy replied.
"When can you get the equipment to make sure?" I asked hoarsely.
"In a few hours, let me make some calls." Jeremy said walking to his desk.
He shifted through some papers and dialed a number. It rang a few times but the person finally answered.
"What do you need?" The person asked.
"An ultrasound machine, and a sphygmomanometer." Jeremy requested.
"I will bring them to you in an hour." The person replied.
I just wrapped my head around being pregnant but now it might be twins.
