Once I made it all the way outside I saw that Elena was only fighting off one wolf but Jeremy was surrounded. I went to help him piercing my teeth into the neck of one of them. I pinned him down with my teeth still grasping his neck. He struggled so much to the point that I snapped his neck. Jeremy glared at me a moment before he went on fighting. I killed one of the others that surrounded him then I noticed another mutt trying to sneak into the back of the house surely looking for Olivia. I charged at him with full force knocking him off his path immediately. He growled at me exposing his teeth in a threatening manner. Before he could make a move I lunged biting one of his legs. Blood started to drip down his left back leg. He tried to limp away but Clay killed him in one continuous movement. I went back around front to see that the rest of them ran off.

"Carter, I told you to stay inside." Jeremy scolded.

I turned back into my human form and Nick came to cover my naked form up. I took the blanket turning back to Jeremy.

"No disrespect Jeremy but if I didn't turn into my wolf, we could've lost more pack members." I replied.

Everyone rushed back inside to see if anything could be done about Logan but it was no use. He was gone so Jeremy started planning what to do. First, he was to be cremated then his ashes would be spread around Stonehaven territory. Clay started looking around frantically.

"She's in the hiding spot." I said calming him.

Clay ran upstairs finding Olivia still sitting in the small crawl space. He brought her back downstairs comforting her.

"Liv, it's over. We are alright." I said embracing her.

After Olivia had calmed down a bit, I went upstairs dressing myself and wiping up the remaining blood left on my body. I seemed physically fine since none of the blood was actually my own. I didn't know Logan that well but it was sad that he died. Nick came upstairs to get dressed and check up on me.

"Are you okay, babe?" He asked.

"Fine. Just thinking that not even an hour ago we were eating with Logan and everything was fine." I replied.

"I know, he was like my best friend." Nick said hanging his head down.

I had never seen Nick cry in the entire time we were together but I knew he was trying to be strong for me. I went over to him pulling him into a hug with his head resting on my shoulder. After a minute he finally let out what he was holding back. Nick sobbed like I never saw before but I didn't mind, he needed to grieve his friend. After another couple minutes Nick backed away from me.

"I'm sorry, I know I have to be strong." Nick said.

"Stop it, you don't need to apologize. You just lost a dear friend which was practically family to you. You need to grieve him and don't ever be scared or shameful of doing just that. I am with you for better or worse forever and always." I responded.

After we were both dressed we went back downstairs to help clean up the house. There was bloodstains everywhere but thankfully no bodies. Clay had already taken care of the mutts but Jeremy personally took care of Logan. After the cremation was completed we all went outside to scatter his ashes saying a few words about him.

"Logan, he went through a lot this past year but still seemed to put on a brave face for everyone. He was my best friend and I loved him like a brother. I won't forget you buddy." Nick went first grabbing a handful of ashes putting them around.

"I didn't know Logan for very long but even when no one else noticed I was nervous or stressed he did. In the few times we enjoyed each other's company he put a smile on my face. He will truly be missed." I stated doing the same as Nick.

"I remember this one time when I was just talking to Logan and he made me feel like part of the family. He didn't talk very much but when he did Logan had this way of making you feel welcome." Olivia added spreading a handful of ashes as well.

"Logan and I lived not far from each other in the city when I was still there. He helped me cope with some of the difficulties that I experienced while there. Logan always kept me calm as I worked through another problem. Getting over Phillip's death while he was coping with loss himself. He always put everyone else before himself and didn't think twice about it. I love you Logan and I will miss you." Elena said spreading the same amount as the rest of us did.

"Logan, he had this capability to talk anyone down from anger and made you look at every situation positively. Logan was a great fighter who got some of us out of a tight spot. He never hesitated in protecting the pack or what it stood for. Logan put the family first and worked through his loss like a survivor. Logan was one of the best of us." Clay said spreading ashes as well.

The only one left was Jeremy who seemed to be hanging on by a thread. He let a few tears slip from his eyes but no one seemed to notice except me.

"Logan was a great addition to our family. He was loyal, kind, and open-minded. Logan never questioned where he belonged and we all loved him. I vow at this moment that his death will be avenged." Jeremy finished spreading the rest of the ashes.

Everyone had somber expressions etched to their face today. Once we made it inside we started cleaning again. We had to wash the blood out of the carpet as well as board up the window until it could be replaced. Thankfully only one wolf died in the actual house while the rest of the mess stayed outside. Nick was spraying everything down with a power-washer. Once the cleaning was done everyone got to work figuring out who did this. Elena tracked them identifying the last two attackers as Mark Robinson and Luke Bradley.

"We've never had problems with them before but since we have the only three female werewolves in existence here, it's not exactly surprising that people are getting audacious." Jeremy informed us.

"What do they want?" Olivia questioned.

"If I had to assume, you two." He said pointing to each of us.

"Technically, there's five of us. You know they are after the babies. No one would be this reckless otherwise." I corrected.

"Unfortunately I believe you are correct." Jeremy replied.

"So what now?" Nick asked frantically.

"We stay. We are stronger together than apart. We should continue normally, right Jeremy?" I questioned.

"That's what we can do. Elena and I will continue tracking the mutts but for the time being we continue our lives. You two have a wedding to plan and babies to prepare for. Get ready for all of it." Jeremy insisted.

After some thinking everyone agreed and continued living their lives. Olivia planned my wedding while Nick planned the nursery. We all agreed to keep the babies in one room instead of separating them. All of us went on living but stayed on alert at all times just in case.
