October twenty-third, my birthday. Olivia insisted on having my brother over for my birthday and even had Jeremy on board. I was about twenty-six weeks along and we found out about ten weeks ago that we are having one boy and one girl. Olivia was also twenty weeks so she knew that she was having a boy. We both have grown a considerable amount enough for people to notice. Everyone was getting very excited. Both our families knew about the pregnancies. Mark and Luke the mutts who helped attack us months back weren't anywhere to be found. We didn't stop looking and we were still on alert all the time. Olivia and I liked being able to live together again especially pregnant. We were always craving stuff at the same times it was kind of perfect. Three in the morning snacks and talks were the best.
"Up again?" Olivia inquired.
"Of course, the kids want bacon again." I laughed.
"How long before one of the boys come down here?" Olivia asked.
"Five minutes." We giggled.
As we were cooking I was right five minutes later Clay came walking down the steps.
"You girls up again, making more food?" He asked with a sleepy voice.
"Aren't we always? When the kids want food we don't argue." Olivia and I smiled at each other.
"So, what's it tonight?" Clay questioned.
"Bacon for me." I stated.
"Cookies." Olivia added.
Clay laughed at us taking over my position urging me to sit down.
"You know I am pregnant not handicapped." I joked.
"I know but I hate the way you make bacon. It irritates me." Clay said.
Another five minutes passed and Nick came downstairs to find all of us up. I was munching on my bacon while Olivia dipped her cookies in milk. Nick only shook his head kissing my forehead.
"What?" I inquired. "I can't help it." I added with bacon hanging out of my mouth.
"Happy Birthday by the way." Olivia said.
"You are like the only one who likes my birthday." I replied.
"You didn't tell me your birthday was today." Clay whined. "Happy Birthday."
"She actually hates her birthday because she used to spend everyone with her parents." Nick explained.
"I'm sorry Carter." Clay consoled.
"It's fine. My parents died a long time ago but I just hate celebrating without them." I answered.
Olivia rolled her eyes at me giving me the death glare.
"We are having a party." Olivia stated sternly.
"She's never let me go a birthday without some kind of celebration, no matter what I say." I said annoyed.
"This year will be small. I only invited your brother and my own." Olivia responded lovingly.
She pecked my cheek knowing that I hated when she did this.
"Jeremy is okay with this?" Nick questioned.
"Yep, I asked him last week." Olivia answered proudly.
"Ugh! I am going back to bed." I said slumping back upstairs.
Nick followed me up and in no time I passed out.
When I woke the sun was shining brightly through my window. I stretched my arms getting out of bed; going into the bathroom. I jumped into the shower soaking in the warm water for a minute. After I was done I wrapped myself in a towel; blow-drying and straightening my hair. I got dressed slowly since I was not quite flexible at the moment. I went downstairs to find a big breakfast all laid out on the table for me.
