Nothing bad happened since that dreadful day that Logan died. The mutts responsible were still underground and we just stayed attentive. Today was my wedding day November twenty- ninth just like my parents. Aaron has been her for a couple days helping everything get set up. He was walking me down the aisle. Olivia and Elena were my bridesmaid while Clay and Jesse were Nick's groomsmen. Olivia and I agreed to a traditional Hollywood theme wedding with lots of red and white. Everything was beautifully perfect. The leaves had already changed colors to give an amazing backdrop and it wasn't supposed to rain or snow. It was going to be a perfect sunny day. Olivia was already working on my hair since I wanted this complicated up-do. I didn't want to add much makeup because it just wasn't me. Olivia was doing all for me what I did for her for her own wedding. My brother knocked on my door peaking inside.
"Hey." He said warmly.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked.
"Nothing just coming to check up on you. You doing okay?" Aaron questioned. I knew right then that he thought I'd be upset about the fact that my parents couldn't be here.
"Stop freaking out. I cried last night. I'm not going to today." I promised.
"I'm just making sure." He replied leaving the room again.
Olivia and I started talking about the babies again.
"How crazy would it be if we had our kids on the same day?" Olivia inquired.
"That's so unlikely though but it would be kind of awesome. We could like share a room in the hospital and bring them home at the same time. I would be so excited." I answered.
"Me too." She exclaimed.
We kept joking around but then Nick came to the door. Olivia stopped him from opening the door all the way.
"It's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding. What are you doing?" Olivia asked sternly.
"I thought she would want this." He said holding up the necklace my parents gave me the day they died.
I grabbed it from him looking at it.
"Close your eyes." I ordered.
He did what I told so I opened the door all the way kissing him on the cheek.
"I don't even get one on the lips." He said unhappily with his eyes still closed.
"That's bad luck too, now get out." Olivia demanded.
After she shoved him out the door we both started laughing. I continued getting ready and so did Olivia. She simply straightened her hair and pinned her side-bang back. Elena snuck into the room a few minutes later with her bridesmaid dress on and her hair curled. Everything was falling into place.
Hours later it was finally time. I had my dress on and I was waiting to walk down the aisle. The music started playing and Aaron glided me down the white aisle. We didn't have a lot of people there but enough to bring a huge smile to my face. Nick saw me and I could tell he was forcing back his tears. Aaron gave him a serious look once we made it all the way down to Nick. After a minute he took his seat so I handed my flowers to Olivia.
"I understand the couple has written their own vows." The officiant said.
"Nicolas Antonio Sorrentino, I loved you from the first week I knew you. Being able to experience life with you by my side is the greatest gift I can ever receive. You know me in all aspects and love me anyway. I may be crazy at times, I may be hard to deal with but I will love you unconditionally for the rest of my lives." I said placing a ring on his finger.
"Carter Marie Bailey, you are the love that I always hoped for. You aren't afraid to take chances and trust with everything. I cannot say how much you have helped me love my life. With this ring I hope that you know I will never forget to say I love you and I will always think of you no matter where either of us are." Nick replied placing a ring on my finger.
"Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?" The officiator asked.
"I do." I answered.
"And do you take this women to be your lawfully wedded wife?" He asked Nick.
"I do." Nick responded.
"With the power invested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride." He finished.
Nick grabbed me putting me in a dip position giving me a passionate kiss. Everyone cheered and we walked back down the aisle. Everyone was going to a hall around the corner for the reception. Nick and I got into a limo that Jeremy insisted we have. It even had the cheesy sign and cans that read "Just Married," Nick looked to me with a big smile.
"It's official. We are married." He said joyfully.
"I know." I replied excited.
Once we got to the reception everyone trickled in to the correct tables. The pack as well as Aaron, Jesse, and Lizzy sat at one table. The toasts were coming and I was scared.
"When I first met Carter I was flabbergasted. Here is this little girl who came up to a complete stranger giving him a hug. She was absolutely confident that I was not going to do anything to her. I saw a lot of happiness in her life as well as a lot of sadness but I have never seen her more happy and excited than with Nick. Liv I think you've been replaced." Jesse said. Next was Lizzy so Jesse handed her the mic.
"Carter is awesome!" She giggled. "She always makes you laugh even if you're madder than mad. I love you Carter." Lizzy added.
"I love you too baby." I called and heard awes behind me. Next was Elena.
"To say the least Carter and I didn't get along when we first met. I have grown to love her and the way she makes Nick feels makes it even better. I guess I gotta stop calling you kid now Nick." She pouted. "I have been in Nick's life for a very long time. When he was growing up I knew one day he'd find a great girl to call his own. The fact that she agrees with me more makes it great." She laughed.
"Carter you have truly become like a daughter to me. I am glad truly glad you chose our family to be apart of." Jeremy said.
"Nick and I practically grew up together and when I say he's a wimp I mean it. Carter makes him stronger than ever before and they make one of the best teams I've ever seen. I am so called to call her a friend and family. Love you both." Clay said. I responded by making a heart with my fingers.
"My little sister, where do I even begin. I took her in and for a long time she was my best friend. Carter never swayed away from anything. She one strong women. I have never been more proud of her than when she picked Nick. These two remind me of my parents in the best way. I hope you two are as happy as they were." Aaron expressed.
"Carter Marie, my best friend and chosen sister. I'll love you till the Earth stops turning and I'm happy that we both found our happily ever after. I am ecstatic to think that the next chapter of our lives we get to share. I love you with all my heart." Olivia started. "Nick I am just saying that this one is hard to live with and love. You'll have to work at it but in the end it's definitely worth it." She added.
After everyone was done on stage I decided to say just a few words.
"I love everyone that got up here to say something. I just want to say to Nick, Clay, Olivia, Jeremy, Elena, Jesse, Lizzy and Aaron that we all may not be blood related or related by marriage but I love you all from the bottom of my heart and you are my family. I also want to thank all of you for affecting my life in the most positive ways who made me who I am today." I said. "Okay everyone this is a party, so party." I called allowing the band to continue playing.
After a couple more hours Olivia forced me to sit in a chair that faced the dance floor. All the guys including Nick, Clay, Aaron, Jeremy, and Jesse started dancing to the music. I was being flash-mobbed by them. They did this silly little dance that ended with Nick spinning me around. After that I had the traditional dances. The father-daughter dance I asked Jeremy to step in which he did. Aaron and I had our own dance and then I went on dancing with Nick. All in all it was a perfect day.
