"Do I have too?" I ask in a quiet voice, staring up at Wing through the slightly cracked door. Wing had his arms folded like a stern father, giving me a look that said, 'Come out'. Letting out a sigh, I slowly open the door and hold my arm, biting my lower lip. "(Y/n), have you been holding onto those images like I've told you?" Wing asks, now reaching over me and closing my door.
"Yes, I have... it's just... not working." I reply back, now sounding a bit ashamed, as if I was being scolded by my dad. 'Wing... reminds me of my dad...' I thought, now staring sadly at the ground. I hear the adult sigh and place his hands on my shoulders, making me look up at him. "(Y/n), I worry about you." Wing simply says, not even hiding how worried he looks.
'Like a dad...' I thought again, now feeling terrible for making Wing worry so much. "I'm... sorry, Wing. I've tried my best, really... I don't know why nothing is working." I said, placing a hand on my forehead in slight shame. I was starting not to believe what Killua said the other day. I'm not strong. I never will be.
"I'll help you through it. No more doing it alone. If this keeps up, you might be very exhausted practically every day." Wing says with a slight smile, nodding his head and pulling me in for a hug, almost shocking me at his new behavior. I slowly nod my head, leaning into his nice, warm embrace. He even acted like my dad. It made me tear up a bit.
"Thanks... dad." I whisper. I didn't bother to correct myself. Wing and my dad are so alike... it's strange. "Dad?" I let out a quiet sigh and just wrap my arms around his waist, hugging him back tightly. "Sorry... You just remind me of my dad." I hear a soft chuckle come from the black-haired adult, making me blush slightly.
I felt a bit embarrassed that Wing just started laughing. "I see. I don't mind. I'm actually quite flattered." Wing said, hugging me back just as tight. "Want to visit Gon? I'm sure that he would like you to come after his fight yesterday." I slowly nod with a small smile. "Wait, what happened? Did he get hurt?" I ask, already knowing what happened but decided to play dumb.
"You'll see when we get there."
=====
I stand behind Wing as the albino boy opens the door, walking inside Gon's room without a care in the world. Honestly, I was a bit nervous about coming here. Especially after what happened with Killua and me. 'We kissed...' I thought to myself, slowly following Wing inside and closing the door behind me.
I never actually thought about it until now. It was so out of character for Killua to make the first move. "Oh, (y/n)..." My eyes glance over to Killua who was now just staring at me, his cheeks reddened slightly. I knew it, he was also thinking about our kiss. It was like Killua and I were ignoring Wing. Him slapping Gon, and even lecturing him.
"Hey..." I awkwardly whisper out as I step closer to Gon's bed, walking past the white-haired boy who just kept staring despite how rude it was. "Didn't you see the ones who went through the Nen initiation? You could have easily ended up just like them!" Wing lectured Gon as I sit on the bed next to a defeated Gon.
"Yeah. I just told him the same thing" I hear Killua say despite his gaze never leaving my figure. I place a hand on Gon's shoulder and give him a smile. "I'm glad you're alright, but don't ever do that again. You need to be more careful." I said to the green-haired boy. Gon stares at me with slight shame and slowly begins to nod.
"Awh, my poor baby. It must've hurt, huh?" I say as I suddenly scoot closer to the ray of sunshine and hug his head close to my chest, smiling at him. Wing just stands there while this was happening, and as for Killua, I wasn't paying attention to him. "(Y/n), don't baby Gon. You know just as well as I do. He shouldn't have done that."
I ignore the black-haired adult as I pet Gon's head. "Poor Gon. Don't worry, I bet he's learned his lesson, right?" I ask, placing both hands on the green-haired boy's cheeks, making him look at me. "Mhm..." Gon mumbled as he also gives me a smile. "See? What a good boy." Hugging Gon's head to my chest once more, I failed to notice a glare coming from the albino boy himself.
"That's not the issue, (y/n). He needs to know that he shouldn't have been so reckless." Wing says, his arms crossing over his chest as if he was also scolding me too. The adult's words made me hug Gon's head a little tighter as I try to refute anything he had to say. "I'm sure he knows, especially since you smacked the poor boy."
"(Y/n)-"
"What? Just give him a break from the lecture, Wing."
Wing and I were back and forth as I continued to technically baby Gon, running my fingers through his green hair and 0still failing to notice the albino boy's glare. "I think both of you need the lecture, you clearly don't understand how dangerous that stunt was." Wing explains as I let out a sigh. "Whatever, Wing. Gon has a peanut brain right now. He'll learn."
Gon stares at me with slight confusion but I ignore it since I basically insulted his intelligence. Hugging Gon even tighter, I run my fingers through his green hair once more.
"Would you stop that? It's annoying." The conversation goes to a halt as Killua's voice rang through the room, forcing all three of us to stare at him. "Hm? Stop what?" I ask, also a bit confused at the albino boy's sudden behavior. "You'll hurt Gon if you don't stop hugging him like that." Killua said, taking a step closer to the bed.
Wing was also a bit surprised by Killua's behavior, now looking between both of us. "It's just a hug. You jealous?" I ask, my voice now sounding teasing as a smirk falls onto my lips. "I'm not jealous..." Killua immediately says, his eyebrows knitting together in annoyance. "Then, there shouldn't be a problem. Isn't that right, Gon?"
I hear Gon laugh a bit as I press myself against him, hugging him tightly. Not going to lie, I was doing this on purpose. Killua's expression was something worth seeing. I've never seen him get so annoyed like he was right now. "Just knock it off. You'll hurt him." Killua said, taking another step closer towards the ray of sunshine and myself, who wasn't budging.
"Mmm... Nah." I let out a laugh as Gon also wraps his good arm around me, hugging me back despite how annoyed Killua was. Big mistake on my part because the albino boy suddenly rips me apart from the green haired boy, glaring at me. "Geez, can't you be gentle with me?" I ask, not thinking anything about how he was acting...
