I can't stop thinking about Jackson. What if he likes me and we start dating? I really need a boyfriend to recover from Christian. But I have other things to worry about too, like this speech I am making about my journey.
*next day*
I wake up and roll over, the clock says 6:47. CRAP! The bus is ganna be here any minute!! I thrown on a pair of sweat pants and a new shirt and throw my hair into a bun. I quickly brush some powder on my face and mascara and run downstairs and grab a granola bar. It's crazy how only a few months ago I would have been panicking if I dressed this lazy for school, with barely any makeup on. Maybe the fact that I'm about to miss the bus is distracting me from thinking about that now. As I run to the bus stop I think of what the kid on my bus said the last time I had to run to catch the bus. I slow down a little to a speed walk. Wait? Why should I care what he thinks of me? Who is he to judge me? I think his judgements say a lot more about him then what they say about me. My feet move faster and soon I'm sprinting faster then ever. The bus doors are wide open waiting more me to jump on. I reach the bus and sit down slightly out of breath.
It'd been 2 weeks since I've started to talk to Jackson. We've become really good friends and I've learned more about him. I got to meet his family and have dinner with them! Apparently my brothers are friends with his brothers too! I'm really starting to like Jackson, kinda like the way I liked Christian.
The night after I ate dinner with his family we hung out in his room and he was showing off his vast collection of mini State of Liberties. "I have 47 of them," he proudly poses next to the shelf, "I get one every time I go into the city".
"Wow, now that's something to be proud of," I laugh sarcastically. "Hey I noticed some sarcasm in your tone that I'm not liking. Please take your bad attitude out in the hallway," he tried to keep straight face but we both start laughing. Suddenly I remember the time Christian and I slept outside of the hotel in New York City. I sit down on his bed. "Hey are you okay? I was kidding,"
"Uh-yeah I'm okay, just thought about something,"
"Oh do you wanna talk about it?" He offers. "N-no I'm okay,"
For a few seconds there's silence. Then Jackson leans over and presses his lips to mine. He lifts his hand and weaves his fingers through my hair. We stay like this for a few more seconds until Jacksons mom screams from downstairs, "Jackson, can you bring down my iPad for me?" He rolls his eyes, "Sorry".
"It's fine I should probably get home soon anyways". Luckily my house is in walking distance. "Oh yeah, do you want me to walk you home?"
"Uh sure!"
He brings the iPad down to his mom and we both walk out the door. My house is 3 blocks away. We talk about our plans for Easter which is coming up in a week for most of the walk. We made it to my hour and when I was about to say goodbye he opened his mouth to say something. "H-hey can I ask you something?"
"Yeah anything,"
"Would you want to like, um go on a date or something sometime?"

I deserve this. "I would love to," I smile. "Okay, well, how about Friday at 7?" He offers
"Sounds great!" I chirp, probably sounds painfully fake. "Okay well goodnight,"
I walk over and give him a peck on the cheek. "Goodnight."
