Seeing Jacob at the end of the isle when dad and I walked out, had my heart racing and stomach doing flips. He looked as handsome as ever in his tux with his shirt styled to perfection. I couldn't take my eyes of off him and right now it was taking everything in me not to look up at him as Louis read the poem we had chosen for him to read for us.

"A soul mate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we're pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we're safe in our own paradise. Our soul mate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. When we're two balloons, and together our direction is up, chances are we've found the right person. Our soul mate is the one who makes life come to life."

I still remember the day that Jacob and I had sat in our room looking through millions of poems that could be read today but none had caught our attention and we were running out of ideas until he found the perfect one.

"What do you think of this one?" He said as he showed me the poem and I read it out aloud and knew it was the one.

"It's perfect," I had said looking at him and he smiled,"what do you think?"

"It's perfect," he replied, "still crazy that we're only a month away from getting married."

"I can't wait," I had said and now here we were, standing before all out of loved ones as we take this huge step in our relationship. Many people may say that being 18 and getting married is being rush but when you know, you know. Yes, mine and Jacob's relationship didn't start off in a conventional way but yet we have made it work and he has even stepped up—without me asking him—and has adopted Grayson as his own. I still remember the day he asked and I was speechless and a crying mess when he had asked to adopt him.

"He already calls me dad so I don't see why I can't make it official by adopting him as my own." He said as we laid in bed—way before I was showing and he moved in with us—with Grayson fast asleep between us. "I see him as my own even if he's not mine. I have since we began our relationship."

"And he loves just as much if not even more,"I had told him while Grayson laid asleep in our room upstairs since were down in the living room watching some show in tv. We had planned to get Grayson's last name changed right after the wedding but we couldn't wait that long so a few months before I gave birth to Hinata, we went to family court to get it changed. It had taken us six weeks for it to be finalized and we couldn't be happier.

Grayson's biological father had given his parental rights up the second he was notified and too be honest I was glad. The last thing I wanted to do was deal with my rapist for the rest of my life just so Grayson could have a relationship with his father. But his father is Jacob and has been since we got together. And he's the only father he'll ever need. Don't get me wrong, we will eventually tell him the truth when he's older and it'll be up to him whether he wants to meet his biological father or not.

I shook my head as I realized that I had zoned out the entire speech Louis was giving and looked to Jacob to see he was staring at me with worry but I gave him a reassuring smile and hand a gentle squeeze.

You okay? He mouth and I nodded nothing that I'd tell him later. He nodded as we turned back to Louis as he spoke again.

"Real love is being able to run down the hall and tell someone you just got the best news ever, and it's being committed to jumping for joy when your spouse runs down the hall and tells you about the news they just got.Real love is about being open and honest with one another, and trusting that the person you love is going to help you work through things together, as a partner." I smiled as Louis looked at our friends and family seated behind us.
