'utho Meerab' ,someone was shaking her.

Meerab woke up in Murtasim's arms, still in the car. She immediately moved away from him.

'Meerab', his voice had a warning tone. ' Ghar anay Wala hai, I want you to walk in without any drama. Gao Kay bhi Kuch log Hain, tameez say room main Jana'.

She blinked up at him, he did not seem to care that he had dragged her out of her house without her permission. Infact Murtasim looked totally calm, not like he had spent a day looking for her.

'Do you understand?'. Meerab looked outside the window, they were almost at the havelli, there was no escaping now. ' Haan'.

' I mean it Meerab, don't do anything stupid now.'

They pulled up outside the house and got out. Murtasim grabbed her hand and immediately walked her inside. She wondered if he thought she would try to run away. Meerab wasn't that stupid, she knew no one was going to help her here.

Murtasim took her to their room. ' Mujhay Kuch Kaam hai abhi, just stay here for awhile'. He turned and left the door closing behind him.

Meerab stared at the closed doors in shock. She had expected him to be angry, to yell at her and demand answers. But he had just left her here.

Had she been wrong about Murtasim again? No, she remembered the way he had dragged her out, when he had slapped her again.

Meerab decided to go change before someone came to find her. However to her surprise no one came by the time she had gotten ready.

She walked to the door and opened it hesitantly, a maid was sitting outside. 'baaji ap ko Kuch Chahiyay ?'

'nahi', Meerab went back inside, so he had left a guard for her. She was now a prisoner in her own room, Meerab wondered if she would be allowed to go out. Remembering how angry Murtasim had been she decided to stay and wait for him.

It was nearly 9 pm now and no one had come, not Murtasim or Maa Begum or even Haya. Was Haya still here? She hoped they had sent her back to the village. She never wanted to see Haya again.

Meerab was rather surprised that Maa Begum had not asked for her yet. She had been expecting a long lecture and a lot of taunts. The wait was driving her crazy. It was past dinner time, what was going on ?

Waiting for someone to show up Meerab fell asleep again. It had been a really long two days and she had not been sleeping peacefully since the night Marium ran away.

When she woke up again, it was morning. Murtasim was asleep next to her. Meerab wondered what time he had come back and why had he not woken her up.

She was also extremely hungry, the last time she had eaten was breakfast yesterday. Murtasim looked deeply asleep so she decided to go get ready, then she could go down to breakfast with him.

As Meerab got ready, Murtasim also woke up and went to change. She stared at him, however he completely ignored her. Was this her punishment? Was no one in the house going to talk to her ? Suddenly Meerab wasn't hungry at all , she wasnt sure she could go sit and the table while everyone pretended she didn't exist.

She froze as Murtasim walked up to her. He stood behind her and pulled something out of his pocket. As he pulled the chain around her neck, Meerab realised it was the chain she had given to the bus conductor/ rickshaw Wala. How did he get it back?

He turned her around to face him, ' tum ko yay Kahan say Mili ?'

' Meerab did you really think I would not find you ?'

' tum nay us say chain wapis kyun li? I gave it because I did not have enough money for the fare'

' tum is ki fikr Chor do, apni fikr karo' , he said as he began to fix his hair.

' why did you bring me back?'

' kyun Kay yay hi tumhara Ghar hai Meerab. Main tumhara shohar hoon, why don't you accept this ?'

Meerab could feel the tears falling down her face, ' han tum ho meray shohar, yay baat tum nay mujhay buhat achay say samjha di hai'

' aur phir bhi tum Raat ko kisi random bus walay Kay sath bhag gayi. Do you really not understand what people will say?'

' Murtasim main ..'

' chup', he moved closer to her. ' We are going downstairs for breakfast, tum chup chap nashta Karo go ,aur us Kay baad jo bhi Maa Begum bolain hi Woh Karo gi. I do not want to hear any complaints, I have alot of work because of your drama I have been ignoring alot.'

' lets go', he pulled Meerab out of the door with him. Meerab noticed a different girl was waiting outside the door this time. The servant girl followed them at a distance, so now Meerab had to be followed 24/7.

The atmosphere at the breakfast table was extremely tense. Murtasim was pretending nothing was wrong, Maa Begum and Anwar looked extremely angry and Haya who was somehow still here looked beyond happy.

No one talked to her at all, they were all apparently pretending the last week had never happened.

'nashta Kar Kay meray pass ana Meerab', Maa Begum announced as she got up and left. Meerab turned to look at Murtasim but he was fully focused on his omlette. Having lost her appetite Meerab pushed away her barely touched plate and followed Maa Begum. As she stepped out of the dining room, the servant girl popped back into view and started to follow her.

Meerab wanted to scream, what exactly did they think she was going to do that she needed a bodyguard?
