Chapter 28: Devilish God

Lily's POV

"Do I look good?" I asked looking at my own reflection at the mirror. I was wearing my black Cushnie et Ochs maxi dress.

I can see her at the mirror; she walks closer to me, wrapped her arms around my waist and rests her head on my shoulder as she whispers "Do you still need to ask that? Of course you look beautiful as always" she kisses my shoulder, then my neck. I look over my shoulder to let her kiss my lips; she gave me a gentle peck, she gently unwrap her arms around me to take my hand.

"Let's go." She said smiling at me while intertwining our fingers

When we got outside, I saw my brothers Jason and Michael waiting for us near Sarah's car, we walked towards them as they gave us a hug.

"Wow! You two look gorgeous tonight!" Michael said with a huge smile on his face.

"Thank you, future bro-in-law!" Sarah jokingly said. We chuckled, and I notice that Jason's was kinda forced.

"Anything wrong Jas?" I asked as he leans in to my ear and whispered "I need to talk to you about something"

I nodded as Sarah and Michael looked at us

"Anything wrong guys?" Michael asked, Jason looked at me in the eye, I could tell that he was nervous, that he doesn't want me to tell Mike about it.

"It's nothing. Mike, it's just that Jason told me about his new EP coming out this December"

I lied trying to keep a straight face, kinda glad that Jason told me a few days back that he's releasing a new EP on December, so it wasn't hard to think about other things I could use as an alibi.

"Oh. Yeah, he did mention about that." He said with a smile on his face.

"Sarah, you wouldn't mind if I hang out with Jas, at the back seat right?"

She nods, as I kiss her cheeks and whispered 'thank you'

While we were on our way to Paramount theatre, Jason collected his thoughts and sighed before asking me to come closer; Michael was at the passenger's seat while Sarah was driving. Jason sighed as he looked into my eyes and leaned closer to my ears.

"Dad's been acting weird yesterday, like real weird" he whispered.

"In what way?" I asked keeping my voice down as possible, my brows furrowed as I looked at him.

"Well, I can't explain but he keep on talking to himself and when I ask him whats up he would just glare at me and look away, or walk away." He sighed,

"That's... real weird. He would usually talk about it and laugh about it, but maybe this one is quite serious"

"I think so too, I remembered a few days back I got a phone call from him telling me how excited he was to attend this premiere and how he couldn't wait for your wedding. But when we got here, today he said he wanted to be alone and he's not coming."

Dad was always supportive. When I told him about me and Sarah over the phone, I thought he would yell at me and tell me that I'm crazy, but instead he accepted it, and even went to our apartment 4 days after new year's eve, he loves Sarah and I'm grateful for that.

"We're here!" Sarah said as we look at the people gathered outside, there were many reporters, paparazzis, and bunch of well-known actors and actresses who were a big fan of the show.

Sarah parked her car in the parking lot nearby, then after that we went to the theatre, our hands were holding unto each other as my two brothers were talking at the back, few laughs and chats about their girlfriends.
