Chapter 33

Adriana's POV

"Welcome back to the crazy life"Nancy reels when I complain about waking up late.

I see there is something suspicious about Nancy,and her ways,all of a sudden she looks mysterious to me.

I overlook everything,since I have major business to attend.
I wipe the sleep off my eyes and check my mail box to find a mail for Clark and Garrix saying

"Important office staff meet at 10"

I check out time and its already 8:40am,I jump out of bed and hit a shower.I hastily take off at my earliest,skipping my lectures for the day.

As I depart my dorm and take a driveway to bus stand.

My phone buzzes with a loud tone,I fish my phone out of pocket to see its Mr.Richard calling me.

"Hey Adriana,Hope you are back in town?"

"Morning sir,indeed I am" I reply.

"I personally wanted to convey you that there is an office staff meet on a very special agenda and you are required to reach office"He tells me.

"Yes sir,I saw the mail and I am on my way already"I tell him.

"Great,Can I pick you from somewhere,I myself am on the way"he asks.

"No,thank you sir,I ll manage ,I haveaready reached the bus stand and I shall be there shortly"I answer.

"I think,I might be passing through the same way,just send me your exact location,Its no trouble"He hangs up.

I do as I am told and in no time,I see his car pulling in the driveway far from the streets end.

I scoot inside and he is sitting at tge back seat too,with the driver driving his car.

"How good is new year so far?"He strikes a conversation

"Amazing start,and they say,what starts well ends well" I answer.

He nods and looks away,
"Adriana,You are a strong,challenging and smart girl,you can get any man on his knees,but we are different class of people Adriana,we stay for our purpose,then we dash off,we always do.

The moments you seek pleasure in,are surreal but dont lay your hope in them to last forever.we dont get on our knees,its not in our blood,Our blood is malicious.we walk for purpose."

My mind is clouded,I dont understand what he means by saying all this.I try to interrupt him but he excuses himself for a phonecall and there we reach office.

I sprint out of the truck and grab my bag.

My present state of mind is a bit disturbed by hearing all what Mr.Garrix had to say.I couldnt figure out his intent and purpose.

Just as I enter office,the chirping of people and the commotion in the office catches my attention.The unusual hum drum,says something all new about the aura of this place.

Mrs.Clarks approaches me and tells me "In 10 minutes Adriana,we ll discover something big.I cant wait,This shall be the biggest opportunity for us."

I ask in a surprised tone "what is this celebration all about"

"Oh Ana,we are just about to launch our new branch office in Georgia in 10 minutes and I am ecstatic about it"

"Its delighting much to here"

"We have a meeting to go through the entire opening virtually and then a long session transfering of our members and also we have hosted a party in the evening,you ll have to be there,no chance to deny me"
