Chapter 14

Nancy's POV

My mouth drops & i speak under my breath,looking from a distance when Adriana reaches his car.

"Oh my mine,he really belongs to the cover of the Newyork fashionista magazine"

Its not that i havent seen a hunk dressed to kill but he has unbeatable charm.I envy Adriana for being too close to him.They scoot in the car & leave.

I relock the room & sprint towards my bed waiting for Adiva & Derby to get ready so that we can togeather catch up for lecture.

"Starbucks ?" Ivan asks,once we all meet at our usual place for breakfast & coffee before class.
"Barista" Adiva replies
"No,Starbucks" I squeak
"lets go with the majourity guys" Jamie settles it here.

"I'll come back"Derby excuses herself.

We place our orders each.

"When are we expecting Adriana back?"Jamie asks.
"How is she commuting by the way?"Ivan puts in.

Both of these questions are directed to me.

"Some hot guy from her literature class offered to drive her & i have no fucking clue when she ll be back,i am missing her company already"
"I hope you dont envy Adriana for this?" Adiva asks mocking & everybody joins in.
"well,she is on the right path i'ld say, hope she catches the cues"i remark.

My eyes are searching for Kevin,but he is no where around.Ivan swipes open his phone & reveals me the pictures of our freshers from his gallery.Its a rumpus again,one on the other we are,excited to see the pictures.There is minimum space between Ivan & I. Adiva is more than excited,so she practically jump on us,covering us from behind our chair.She swipes & swipes,we giggle at our poses & random clicks when finally Kevin bangs our table for attention.

Adiva drops the phone on table & more excitedly goes to Kevin & snakes her arms around his neck & greets him.

Pangs of jealousy prick me deep,Kevin comes over to hug me when Adiva removes her hand.I stand from my chair.Butterflies errupt in my belly when his fingers graze my spine & the sensation tickles me all over. He joins us all watching the picture togeather.

Adiva takes in the phone back from Ivan to swipe next when my picture with Ivan from the dance floor & the next is mine alone when i was all wasted driving back with him.I asked Adiva for the phone when she denied saying this is a memory & wont be deleted.

Kevin is looking at me,when i look at him.It turned into an awkward moment for me.

"Hi,kevin!" Derby returns with a long book & labcoat in her hands.

"Hey,hi sweety!"he greets her.

For the first time,i am thankful for this distraction.

"I guess,we should all be moving for class now"Jamie suggests.

"Yeah,before we get late" i try to dismiss all the awkwardness from the moment.

To my great thankfulness,everyone got up from their chairs & we moved towards our Biology lab.

We were instructed to perfome a slide of meiosis & mitosis stages with the partner at our alotted work stations.

I was kind of excited when the professor told that my would-be partner-in-lab has already submitted application for migration from WSU so he isn't expected anymore.I know Adriana's desk is empty,i want to use this opportunity to work with Kevin.In order to shift my place,i collect all my belongingdls from my desk & just as i am walking towards the front.I spot Derby talking to the,just then the professor asks Derby to join Kevin for a day.
