Chapter 2

Adiva's POV

The sun of the official first day went down the horizon,giggling at the new begining & promising a more bright tomorrow.

This day was all consumed in unpacking & arranging the room to make it a home for the time being,exhausted of this insipid task in which gossiping was our only friend.I ordered for pizza.

the conversation changed its course again & i questioned

"So girls,i narrated what brought me here,how about you?"

"Well,destiny,i'ld say or my ill fate maybe,that i cudn't make it to The Cambridge"answered Adriana

"oh ! & my story is a littile different,actually i aspired to be here since long and so here i m,lucky to make my place here"added Nancy.

Ariana just began spreading new sheet on her bed when the doorbell intruded our conversation & Nancy went to to the door,collecting the pizza's we ordered she flirted equally with the delivery guy.

The mouth savouring pizza in such a hectic day was much of a delicacy.The ranting of Nancy on not having to enjoy her flirting time was intruded by a phone call on Adriana's phone,she walked out strolling in the hallway

"Did any of you come across a notice saying that we have a special orientation programme before the commencment of our regular classes"informed Adriana on entering inside the room.
"That just is a great way of giving us a ride & brief insight of the structure about the campus before the actual start,what do you say adiva ?"Said Nancy.
"Poor that i am not a morning person"i replied & to that Adriana remarked"If you dont wish to be thrown out from here in the first semester itself, gear up your ass & get ready to be the one & by the way, the reporting time for tomorrow is 8.30am".

I already miss mike,"he's the one to wake me up for in the morning, my alarm,even today when i was sleeping drunk after my late night farewell party,i woke up to his call".

I grab my phone to text Mike
***"I miss you already,i had a nice day & hope u kept your promise,i have an orientation tomorrow at 8.30.Take care".***

I got an instant reply back from Mike saying-

***"could you think less of me,to break a promise to you sweetheart,take care,you ll be on time tomorrow.Goodnight"***

Nancy traces a smile on my face and teases me of blushing to the screen.

The hectic first day didn't gave us the time to explore campus so none of us had a clue what to rely on for the early morning breakfast.

i google to check the campus map & locate a Bagel hub & starbucks,at 1km walk from the dorms.That was enough of a feast to rely on.Rechecking the door locks,we cuddled to sleep.

It was one breezy morning and the starbucks or nearby bagel hub was overcrowded.The buzz of the inception was flamboyant,which invoked the excitment more.

we managed ourself a corner table in.starbucks after a 15 minutes waiting.when Nancy went to get our orders,Adriana and I were enjoying checking out random guys,when i happened to notice Nancy involved into a conversation probably flirting with a guy next to the counter with our meal in hands.

I contrived a plot and convinced Adriana to meddle in hampering process,"fuck you bitches!"complained Nancy."

We marched taking in note the direction sign boards towards the amphitheater.

The place was bustling with people,& the programme contents being professors introduction & university structure and functionality.At the end of it,we were told to submit our applications for the subjects we opt,Nancy choose dance,Adriana opted for literature and i settled for Art.

Being alloted our timetableswe retreated.

Making our way out of the jamed place,i made my mind to discovering campus when Adriana informed of collecting the semester syllabus, leaving Nancy along she left,when we treaded along the busy foyer,when the guy in starbucks from the morning crossed path,Nancy's eyes sparkled & i left them this time to continue & moved across the amphitheater,when my cellphone danced to the beat of "Stupid in love",& i fished the phone out of my pocket & astounded,i was to see mom calling.

"Hello mom !" i greeted.
"how are you doing,did you settle well ?"mom asked.
"yeah,i had an orientation today & it..

she cut me in mid sentence,
"There is something more important i have to tell you,i learnt from Mrs.Mathew that her daughter got into the same course there,it shall help me in my career if you befriend her,I hope you ll not disappoint me."
"I ll try to be one obiedient child"i said hanging up the call.

Walking long along the campus,i have reached a Nursery and along side visible is a beautiful looking lake and this is the place just at the back side of the library & there is one solitary corner,where i spend most of my remaining noon nd most of the evening.

Returning back to the room which is empty yet,i pick up my toiletry bag nd move to the common showers to have a night shower.

Fuzzy about the formal and official first day where i was mostly conserned about my formal introduction.Adriana went to bed helping us with some lines,whereas I rehearsed repeatedly along with Nancy for almost an half an hour before giving up to slumber.
